Assuming Gaudinot makes it to this fight ... he loses. Also, I think they're taking it too slow building Horiguchi up, but whatevs. Won't complain watching him knock foos out.

The inactivity definitely isn't doing Gaudinot any favors here. Maybe after this they can finally put together that Cariaso match up.

While I think Kyoji will win, I think the odds are a bit too one-sided. And I want to take this opportunity to highlight what I feel is one of the biggest rankings mistakes:  John Lineker has fought 2 ranked fighters: Bagautinov and Gaudinot and lost both while each of his 5 UFC wins were vs. unranked opponents. And that doesn't even include his last win before joining the UFC vs. one-time UFC fighter Iliarde Santos that he won by split decision.

Gaudinot is 1-2-0 (1) in 3 years in the UFC. It's crazy looking back that he finished Lineker..

@Outlaw while you say Asians just do bad in the US, as stupid as your statement sounds, it is true. The only one who has had legitimate stand out success fighting in the states is Okami.

However, Horiguchi lit a very durable Dustin Pague up like a christmas tree. I would definitely favor him here. Put all ur money on Gaudinot if your so confident about it, also pics or it didn't happen.

Does Horiguchi get the title shot after this or does he need one more fight?

Usually you gotta beat someone in the top 10 before a title shot.

He needs to beat Diego Sanchez or Matt Hamill to get a title shot.

Horiguchi has looked good in his UFC fights, Gaudinot has looked consistently mediocre.

Gaudinot sucks. Horiguchi has looked very good so far. I think he continues his successful run.

I never trust Japanese prospects these days, but Gaudinot is not the guy who will expose Horiguchi.
