Bellator has a solid LW division (Chandler, Brooks, Jansen, Sass, Rickels, Held, Sarnavski, etc) but the only one that probably gives Gil any trouble is Chandler.

The question will be, "Who lost Melendez?" Dana White is on a roll. Fitch, Okami, Askren, Cyborg, now Melendez.
When Alvarez negotiates with the UFC after his next fight with Chandler, the UFC will not offer him anything NEAR what they did last time, and Eddie might balk and hesitate.
This is depressing.

Melendez would crush every LW in Bellator not named Chandler and Alvarez i.e they're cans.

I think part of the problem is that he was on his Stikeforce contract that was negotiated and signed before the Zuffa purchase.
So the UFC probably think he was getting paid too much for that weight class and for being a non-UFC-champion.

There is such a thing as enlightened delegation of responsibilities and abandonment of such. Too much delegation and faith in one's company officers can lead to mistakes.
And I think we are long past a decided direction and history of bungled, inept, incompetent, blown decisions by one company officer in particular. Time for the Great Muzzle.
