Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 5 Perfect, 525 Points   |   Tied for 357th

Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 630pm ET followed by four televised prelims on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm and the Pay Per View main card at 10pm.

Two titles, a high-steaks heavyweight fight and some nice match-ups down the rest of the card should hopefully make for a solid night of MMA.

What mediocre performance by aldo, and it ended with him on his back. I said it before, Anthony pettis would destroy both Ben Henderson and Jose! Now he just needs to dispose of jose and shut the haters up. Pettis should rack up a few more wins before it happens though, then make the jump and do a super fight.

Lol Faber is still pretty bitter about Herb Dean at the presser.

I'd love to see Pettis and Aldo fight! I thought his performance was pretty impressive tonight though.

Tujillo would like to fight Cowboy or Nate. He's an exciting fighter, can't wait to see what he gets.

I think Herb Dean is the best ref in the sport but I think he stopped the fight a little early. Barao was punching him in the arm and Faber was giving a thumbs up. Not the greatest time to step in. However I do agree Faber should have been moving more but I think he was trying to let Barao tire himself out. You could tell immediately after Herb stopped it Faber popped up like he was fine. Had the fight continued I still think Barao would have finished it at some point. He's proven he's too much for anyone at 135 except for Cruz which is yet to be determined.

Aldo/Pettis has to happen this year. Pettis and his camp will figure out how to stop the Aldo leg kick and that will make for an awesome fight. I thought Lamas did pretty well tonight, just too many leg kicks. He'll be back.

I can't say I was thrilled by the stoppage, but guys get away with just covering up and exposing nothing but the back of their head way too much.

I think in that situation the ref should tell the fighter that he has to get himself out of the situation promptly and if not he's going to stop the fight, which is what Herb did.  That said, the expectations need to be consistent, and like I said, guys get away with doing exactly what Faber was doing all the time without having the fight stopped.

If Pettis/Aldo does happen, Mendes won't be too happy about that. Unless the fight is at 155, then it's like...what are you gonna do?

To be fair Herb was talking to him telling him if he didn't start doing something he'd stop it and Faber kept laying there hugging the leg. On the other hand there needs to be a bit more room in championship fights, if you can clearly see the guy's clearing cobwebs maybe you give it a tad more, he was covered up enough to give him an extra 10-15 seconds, IMO.

Nice to see Trujillo and Varner  get all the bonus money. Their fight was definitely the highlight of the night and the only fight worth talking about after this snoozefest of an event. Didn't even come close to living up to my expectations.

@Amp-I'm pretty sure Aldo is moving up to fight Pettis for the belt. Mendes vs. Swanson would be booked for 145 lbs. title.

Is Mendes vs Swanson for sure or just speculation? (considering if Aldo does move up)

Dana made it sound like Aldo would have to move up and vacate his title, but if he lost to Pettis he would get a shot at 145 again right away... unless he's injured I'm assuming.
