@Legz I don't think so. Sandro's good, but his chin is suspect. Look at the first 2 minutes of Hettes/Phan and tell me you think Sandro could've taken those punches, and yes, I do believe Hettes would get it to the ground due to him having better wrestling and judo.

Sandro doesn't have the best chin but we're talking about Hettes here, plus Sandro's only been put out by Curran. I don't see how Hettes could beat him right now and he probably could take him down, I never disputed that. Sandro T(KO)ing Hettes is my bet.

Ok, Cub Swanson is number 5 in the consensus rankings on Tapology, but I don't have him on my top 10. I thought that was a problem but then I looked at my top 10 and there is no space for him anywhere (number 10 at best). How the **** is this guy number 5 on the consensus rankings? Am I missing something?

Our diff in rankings @Anik is that I have Hominick in my top 10 where as you  have Kawajiri... otherwise, it's pretty close.

Do you still think he's at 4? Or top 10?  Just wondering if someone would like to make a case for him... I'm open minded and willing to listen.

I think having Kawajiri at number 10 is much more reasonable than Mark Hominick. I think most people would agree on that one.

I don't understand how you could have Diego Nunes but not Dennis Siver? Same goes for you @joshes2?

There is no way Cub should be top ten. The Pearson win was a solid win, but Do Bronx is kind of awkward on his feet (and i ******* love that guy), and i don't consider that a top ten win. I put Dias at 10 because he just beat Alcantara, who had a lot of hype surrounding him until that fight.

Next time I update my rankings I'll take a hard look at this division... just to appease you good sir. Oh, Idk if Kawajiri ever had a UFC title fight...

Kawajiri also isn't on a two fight losing streak.

Well maybe I'm just being biased because he knocked out my favourite featherweight in very impressive fashion, but that's what got Cub to #5 for me.

Oliveira was 2-0 as a featherweight with two very solid wins.  Getting the calf slicer in his debut against Wisely and then following it up by submitting TUF winner Jonathan Brookins.
Before that Cub knocked out Ross Pearson who had never been knocked out, not even at lightweight where he was pretty competitive.  He held a win over Dennis Siver and arguably could have gotten the nod over Edson Barboza who was undefeated at the time.  Getting a TKO win over Pearson was no easy feat.

Also just noticed I'm missing Ricardo Lamas from my list though for some reason, he'd probably be #5.

@ProdigyKid14 Hacran Dias is an excellent name to have at number 10, I think I might put him in after his next fight if he wins. Considering that he beat an excellent fighter who beat number 7 on both of our lists, he deserves it.

@Kalibo Bibbles, Hominick's getting cut if he loses his next fight. Kawajiri is undefeated at featherweight and at lightweight his only recent losses were to top 5 Gilbert Melendez and top 10 (at the time) Shinya Aoki. Oh and also, I wanna look cultured.

I look at it as he is on a 3 fight win streak over some decent guys, pearson impressed me the most. And his last three loses were to Lamas, Aldo and Mendes, three of the best in the division. And now that i think of it i should probably put Lamas higher up the rankings.
