i definitly think it's a weight issue, i think he tried cut too much too late ... not entirely nates fault imo as his coaches/team should of been on top of it.
*if he was just overweight then where its not a title match the fight should of still happened, maybe a medical issue as a result of a late weight cut?, pushing his body too far, and Dana's pissed that he 'acted unprofessionally' leaving it so late

However, this is all speculation. I feel bad for Marquardt (though, it's probably his own fault), but I feel even worse for the people who bought tickets for this. First Kampmann, than Rumble, now Marquardt, and then they get Pat Barry vs. Cheick Kongo for the main event.

"The unanswered questions keep going. Dana White just announced that Nate Marquardt was no longer with the UFC. It was a short message where White said that Marquardt had failed his medicals and is not only off the show, but out of the UFC, without giving any explanation.
Nobody has confirmed the medical issue that forced Marquardt out of the fight, but one person with knowledge of the situation told us it was not an issue related to cutting weight. Marquardt being fired would seen to indicate medicals revealed something that would lead to severe disciplinary action."
It's probably a combination of things. I'm sure will find out by the end of the day.

i think Nate almost made weight or even made it, but due to leaving it too late to cut, was not medically cleared to fight.
which inturn extemely pissed Dana off, who like OldNick said, has often voiced his opinion on fighters not making weight.
