it definitely wasn't the weight..i was pretty sure he was too big from what he looked like a couple days ago but from this video its clear that wasn't the problem. really confusing

It has to be a last-minute pre-fight disclosure of a relatively benign issue on Nate's part that he has known about for a while. That's the only thing that would justify being cut for failing the medicals. If he has a serious medical condition, I have to believe it would have been handled a very different way.
I could particularly see the UFC being pissed if it's something Nate should have known would have been an issue (like failure to get clearance for test therapy and he disclosed that he is receiving that treatment on a form). I'm inclined to think that it's not something like staph or something similar because it would be hard to pin down when Nate knew he had it and there is always a chance he would have recovered if he had it for a while. I am also not inclined to think it is something like straight-up PEDs being detected because I don't think the test results are available that quickly.
