I am surprised that no one has started this thread yet.

I know this is an MMA website but I bet that there are some Boxing Fans out there.

I just love the sport of fighting in general and I have been raised by boxing.

So in this Thread we can discuss the "Sweet Science"

such as
Past Fights
Upcoming Events
Favorite Fighters
and Historical Figures in the Sport


Because like MMA in the US, Boxing started out illegal. But where it took MMA less than 25 years to gain the General populations approval, It took boxing over 100 years.

I think there is to much boxings , and I think it is the ref you should mix it up is the rounds

Canelo Next Fight

what does anyone think about Canelo's next fight? It seems interesting that they put him up against someone with very little name recognition.

Yep. Not much of a name. I get fans underestimating him. But I hope Canelo doesn't- for his sake. Angulo is a savage. He comes to either get the knockout or get knocked out.

I think Canelo will out class Angulo. Dude is a beast, but not on Canelo's level. Floyd was just too much too soon for him.

There is boxing on ESPN 2, FOX Sports 1 and NBC Sports tonight, My DVR is all like "no mas." And Angulo is a strait up head busta with a ton of heart, he shocked me in that Lara fight. He will lose to Canelo but he should make it a fun fight to watch at least.

Victor Ortiz Vs Luis Collazo is on tonite , should be a decent fight. I would of have said an easy for Ortiz a couple years ago but I'm not sure now. Collazo is extremely tough and Ortiz isn't as good as I once thought.

And Collazo pulls it off with a 2nd rd. ko. , Collazo is overlooked by most fans and I know he isn't a star but the guy can fight. I think Ortiz could have gotten up from the shot but who am I to say.

GGG is a beast but I really want to see him fight some of the top middleweights. I know a lot of them just plain don't want the fight though.

That's the real problem, NO ONE wants to fight him. Pretty sure he's said he'll go down to 154 if the right fight were offered. I don't care where he fights as long as someone good will fight him.

In Golovkin's last 5 or so fights it seem like his opposition is getting worse.. not better. Sure, he hasn't fought anyone elite yet, but still. He went from Proksa, Rosato, and Ishida to Adama, Stevens, and Macklin.. It should be the other way around The guy is undefeated.. let him fight someone. Even though it has become obvious no one wants to fight GGG, they can still find better than his recent opposition.
