Has a few big wins in a short career. Mir, Handy, Herring, Carwin....I personally wanted to see him fight a few more times and see if he could ever actually be comfortable taking a punch. I was not of fan of him, but I do think he should be considered for HOF....

I think you meant to spell Randy lol

but honestly if it was not for his illness then maybe he could have been something great. but there was not much shown in his short blazing career. I Respect Brock and what he did in his short time but if without his sickness then maybe. but now no.

I like to use the "win the belt, defend it more than once, you should make the list" rule as a sort of minimum standard (there can be exceptions for guys like Chris Lytle who hold the record for most bonuses) which means Brock would make my list.

Honestly, no he does not. However, he did bring in a new audience that is supported by his PPV numbers.

Brock, 100%, does NOT deserve to be in the HOF. Its ridiculous to think he should be.

I'm curious to see what people think about this....

Jens Pulver.....

The first UFC Lightweight champion.  He won the belt against Caol Uno, and defended it against Dennis Hallman, and B.J. Penn.

Other big wins...Joe Stevenson, John Lewis, Rob Emerson, Stephen Palling, Cole Escovedo, Cub Swanson.

....but, he lost a ton of fights and became a pretty weak journeyman later in his career.

Does he make the HOF?

I dont know why people are down thumbing the thread, this is actually a good question

I wouldnt put Brock in due to him not sustaining his success for long and when he faced Cain, Overeem, and Carwin (to an extent) he got embarrassed. Imo PPV numbers should only have so much to do for someone's consideration.

@Alias, Pulver I would say maybe because in his prime while he was with the UFC he beat the best of the best at the time. Im not sure whether I would include him or not tbh but I would put Jens in over Brock

I don't think Jens should be in either. That's just my opinion.

What does everyone think about Miletich to the HoF? His record is great but he doesnt have many big wins (not completely his fault, in his prime the competition was a lot weaker)

@Nik, I agree. I dont want it to be like in other sports where someone has to be selected every year. The problem is what is the criteria that needs to be met?

I would definitely put Miletich in.  The first UFC welterweight champ.  He defended the belt 4 times.

lesnar was a phenomenal heavyweight with a solid career. My problem with him is that he quit as soon as he wasn't at the top anymore. I don't like that.

4-3 in the UFC, even though he defended the title, he looked like **** doing so. He got beat up by velasquez, beat up worse by Overoid, got submitted in a few minutes by Mir.. how is this even a discussion?

@Wrestle When I look at HoF credentials, I look for a few things.
1) Longevity -  DId the potential HoF have a long successful career? Or was he great for only a short amount of time ( Franklin, Pulver) Being great, and at the top for a short time, while not fighting the best guys does not warrent a HOF induction. Oulver is 6-8-1 under Zuffa, how on earth can you let him in? Militech fought in the UFC for only 3 and a half years. How do you put him in???
2) Record -  Record also has to be a factor. 4-3 in the UFc HoF is a joke.
3) Titles -  Did they hold and title and how long (Franklin 2 title defenses against Loiseau and Quarry, not good enough for me)

when I look at Lesnar, I don't think of an MMA fighter, I think of a Wrestler, who absolutely hated to get punched. On top of that, his MMA career was marred by injuries, while accruing a 4-3 record, combined with some unimpressive wins (Kim, Carwin), and some worse loses (Overeem, Mir, ... well all of them actually)
