Has a few big wins in a short career. Mir, Handy, Herring, Carwin....I personally wanted to see him fight a few more times and see if he could ever actually be comfortable taking a punch. I was not of fan of him, but I do think he should be considered for HOF....
What say you Tapology forum?

No he shouldn't be in the HoF.
Then again, Ken Shamrock's in the HoF...

I think that there should be an "International Mixed Martial Arts Hall of Fame"
Every truly great fighter in history and big time players of MMA gets put in. my vote is it should be branches put in Tokyo, Rio, and Denver.
Have fighters from UFC, Bellator, PRIDE FC and others that influenced the sport greatly.
ie
Fedor
Randy Couture
Chuck Liddell
Anderson Silva
Sakuraba
Wanderlei Silva
Mirko Cro Cop
Dan Henderson
Dan Severn
Don Frye
Antonio Rodrigo Nogeira
Mark Coleman
Bas Rutten
Royce Gracie
Rickson Gracie
BJ Penn
Matt Hughes
non partisipents
Rorion Gracie
Helio Gracie
Dana White
Nobuyki Sakakibara
thats what i think.

I don't know if people truly appreciate what a great athlete Brock is. For a guy to be that big and be able to move like he can is amazing. He trained for such a short time to accomplish what he did was amazing as well. Because he had a very short career though I don't think he belongs in the UFC hall.

I agree, I don't think people really appreciate how athletic Brock Lesnar is. Here's a stat for you football fans that might make you change your opinion on Brock as an athlete: He runs the 40 at 4.7 seconds.

It's not that people don't appreciate how athletic he is. They don't appreciate who he is. He's definitely one of those guys you love or hate and he will never get respect from some people. I personally enjoyed watching him in MMA and kind of wish he didn't retire... but his health isn't top notch and that is priority. Regardless, you can't take away the accomplishments he's done.
Should he be in the HOF? There's definitely pros and cons to both arguments. He wasn't in MMA all that long. HW Champ who defended his belt twice and had very high PPV buys. Half of his career was a 4 fight win streak over Carwin, Mir, Couture, and Herring which, regardless how you put it, is impressive.
The one thing I'll always remember about Lesnar was the feelings that I had when and after he fought. When he went ape **** after the Mir fight, when he outlasted Carwin and came back... a very intense individual who had some very memorable moments.

As of right now he holds the accord of being the longest UFC HW champ (707 days) and is tied with the most defenses (STAT wise he is the best HW champ the UFC has had). Then you look at the guys he fought and you can't find anyone with the that kind of who's who of MMA opponents for their first 8 fights. The problem is that the HW division in the UFC has been really weak until recently. So if not now then we'll have to see how the HW division fleshes out and then more likely than not no, though I feel, even though i don't agree, he'll get in for the PPV buys alone.

Sylvia defended against Gan McGee in his first reign, then Arlovski and Monson in his second reign.

I think he meant consecutive defenses, like I did. I don't mean in total.

I was just making the point that stat-wise he isn't the most accomplished former HW champ.

He totally deserves to be there. From a pure MMA perspective no, but as as someone that brought MMA to a wider audience then yes. He had a huge impact, the biggest so far. Becoming UFC champ with the illness he had, and still coming back a shadow of his former self showed real character. Love him, hate him, you won't forget him.

Actually i was very impressed with his win over Carwin. He kept his composure, showed that he was in excellent shape and taking his job seriously, and then won via submission showing that he was improving his game and learning new things

No way in hell does Brock deserve the hall of fame, and I cannot believe that somebody honestly compared Lesnar to Jens ******* Pulver. That's ridiculous.

I love Pulver... but the casual MMA fan is going to remember Lesnar far more than Pulver. It sucks to say that, but it's the truth.
