Viktor Kichigin Wiki

Viktor Kichigin is a young Russian fighter from Pyatigorsk in Stavropol Krai. He's the younger brother of the fighting twins Grigoriy and Georgiy, although unlike his older brothers who both received hand-to-hand combat training while in the army, his base style lies in combat sambo. All three Kichigin brothers are coached and always accompanied to the ring or the cage by their mother, a former martial artist herself. They have fought - with mixed results, although all keeping winning records - for about all major Eurasian promotions like Tech-KREP FC, Absolute Championship Berkut, Oplot MMA, M-1 Global, Fight Nights or Alash Pride FC. The brothers also always wear their papakha hats and Cossack coats at the weigh-ins, while walking to the cage or put them on after the fight.

In September 2014 Viktor scored his 5th professional victory at the 101st Oplot Challenge, first at the new location in Moscow and first after lasting more than 7 months absence. That win brought his MMA record up to 5-2. He followed it with a dominating win over Goga Shamatava at ProFC 55 and then two more victories for the Kazakhstan based Alash Pride FC promotion over the local fighters, first beating Nursultan Khasylmanov and then defending against Temirlan Aysadilov's aggressive submission attempts before securing the mount position and raining down punches on his defenceless opponent until Aysadilov's corner was forced to throw in the towel. Viktor's next fight did not go that well, as he was stifled and outworked by the undefeated Kazakh vet, Osman Kasimov, but he returned to his winning ways later in 2015 with a dominating performance over a Chechen wrestler Viskhan Magomadov at ACB's 23rd event in Grozny.
