Best Georgian prospects outside UFC
-
1
- Otar Tanzilov
- 9-0-0
-
Otar is very high level kickboxer with good td. Last time when he fought his cardio wasnt good, but since then he hasn't fought for a long time and maybe he used this time-off to improve cardio, he's been training in Syndicate MMA recently.
-
2
- Amiran Gogoladze
- "The Sniper"
- 17-3-0
-
Very good striker with good td and ground game. Main obstacle for him is injuries, out of his 3 losses one time he lost by a shoulder injury and one time fought nearly full fight with a broken rib. I hope with another win in OKTAGON MMA he gets his second DWCS shot.
-
3
- Bidzina Gavashelishvili
- 13-3-0
-
Bidzina Gavashelishvili is a very good wrestler with good hands and a good cardio, In his last fight, he fought and beat very high level opponent, outclassed him everywhere. His main flaw was bad defence and it cost him some of his fights but he showed very big imrovement there and his only decision loss is clear robbery.
-
4
- Itso Babulaidze
- 5-0-0
-
Ring of Combat Champion. Itso is a very good grappler with heavy hands. Trains in Serra-Longo Gym and Syndicate MMA with Merab. He's also one of the main sparring partners of Sean Brady. By style he kinda looks like Roman Dolidze and as he is very high level grappler and has very strong punches, but I think that in standing he's much more technical and faster than Roman. I think Itso deserves to fight at DWCS.
-
5
- Mikheil Sazhiniani
- 13-2-0
-
GFC Champion. Mikheil is well rounded fighter with Freestyle wrestling base and also has very good hands, but has to improve striking defence and overall grappling.
-
6
- Giorgi Egnatashvili
- "GRIZZLY"
- 8-1-0
-
GFC Champion. Grizzly is a well rounded fighter who has strong punches and very good wrestling, but needs to learn how to check kicks. His only defeat came against a high level middleweight prospect who was much more massive compared to him. Since then, he moved down to a weight class that fits him more, as he was very(!) undersized for middleweight. I think that he can potentially cut weight to 155 too, but it can possibly affect negatively his performance due to his significant muscle mass, despite fitting the height and reach criteria for the lightweight division.
-
7
- Zviad Lazishvili
- 13-1-0
-
Former LFA Champ. BJJ black belt. Zviad is a very good wrestler, but his main obstacle has always been injuries, after becoming LFA Champ he signed contract with UFC and was forced to reject plenty of fight offers because of injuries, finally he was forced to accept fight on short notice against Jonathan Martinez because he already had too many offers rejected. After this fight he got suspention for banned medical substances, which were given by a unprofessional doctor. As I know Zviad was offered Bellator contract not long time ago, but he rejected it because he wants to fight in UFC.
-
8
- Tornike Gigauri
- "Toka"
- 7-0-0
-
GFC Champion. Tornike is well rounded fighter who ran through all of his opponents, but his last fight showed us that he still has a lot to improve, especially cardio. As I know after his last fight he moved to a new gym and now trains with Amiran Gogoladze and Mate Sanikidze.
-
9
- Niko Samsonidse
- "One Love"
- 10-3-0
-
Niko is a very talented fighter, he has a Black Belt in BJJ, also good striking, especially kicks. I hope his chin isn't fully done after his last loss and it will not affect his future fights.
-
10
- Zuriko Jojua
- "Zura"
- 9-2-0
-
Polish fans are calling him KSW's Merab Dvalishvili. Zura is a wrestler with very good grappling and power, I can't say anything bad about his striking defence, but his offensive striking and cardio can improve.
-
11
- Nikoloz Abramishvili
- 7-1-0
-
Very talented and well rounded young fighter. Trains in Germany with Mousasi and Van steenis. His only issue is that sometimes he makes very bad decisions during his fights. in his only pro loss, he was clearly better than his opponent but jumped straight into a submission against very dangerous grappler and that cost him a fight.
-
12
- Luka Giorgadze
- 8-2-0
-
Luka is mainly a kickboxer, but has good takedowns and g&p, also cardio. Needs to improve defence and pay more attention to strategy because when his plan A isn't working he just stands and eats punches.
-
13
- Zurabi Pirtskheliani
- 6-2-0
-
Zurab is very talented well rounded fighter, he's strong in everything, has good striking and is very explosive on the ground. His cardio isnt necessarily bad since he doesnt show any cardio issue in 3 round fights, but in his first 5 round fight when he was very close to winning against Giorgi Egnatashvili, as he should've been ahead on the scorecards, in 5th round he gassed out and lost in the final seconds by submission.
-
14
- Lasha Abramishvili
- 7-2-1
-
NFC and Cage MMA Champion.Very high level striker. Needs to improve ground defence.
-
15
- Levan Kirtadze
- "Piranha" | 13-4-0, 1 NC
-
Levan is well rounded fighter with good wrestling, grappling and heavy hands but needs to improve his cardio because almost everytime his fight reaches third round he loses that round by a domination, even when he has first two round in a pocket. His losses mainly happened in very close fights, but in my opinion, he would have won both of his losses abroad if it weren't for the referees' favoritism towards the local opponent.
-
16
- Nika Kupravishvili
- 7-3-0
-
Nika is balanced fighter with good takedown defence and cardio, his main weapon is clinch and g&p. still needs to improve his striking.
-
17
- Aleko Sagliani
- "Ako" | 11-6-0
-
Aleko had very bad time in his career, he did well against Rongzhu and Thomas Paul but he lost both of these fights by injury and after Paull fight he lost two fights in a row when he was still injured and out of form as he wasnt able to train well for months and both fights were after few months from an injury. but as I know since he moved to USA and started training in Syndicate MMA with Merab, he's much better fighter and improves everyday. He has too much losses in his record but majority of them are against very good fighters. In some way he's similar to Terrance McKinney—extremely explosive in the first round. However, when the fight extends into the second and third rounds, it significantly hampers his performance, like kryptonite.
-
18
- Roman Kurashvili
- 7-4-0
-
Ring of Combat Champion. Roman has Kickboxing background. After 6 straight wins and 6-0 record Roman lost 4 fights in a row by decision and moved to USA where he started training in Serra-Longo gym, he won some BJJ competitions and returned to mma with short notice fight for ROC title, which he won and seemed like completely different fighter with very different style.
-
19
- Mate Sanikidze
- "The NextGen" | 11-3-0
-
Former OKTAGON Champion. By style Mate looks like Belal (although Mate has more exciting fights), he's not superior in anything but is very balanced and has at least an average level in every fighting aspect, which helps him, thanks to his high fight IQ, to use his opponent's weak points and take a fight in the direction he needs to win a fight. He has very big height and reach for a Bantamweight but I think that he needs to gain some muscle mass (even through he's much stronger than he seems like) and return to Featherweight.
-
20
- Nika Sabanashvili
- 2-0-0
-
Very young and talented well rounded fighter. Trains in Syndicate MMA. Beat some good fighters during his amateur career.
-
21
- Giorgi Kvirchishvilli
- 0-0-0, 1 NC
-
Heavyweight with very strong punches and high level grappling background.
-
22
- Luka Bregvadze
- 3-0-0
-
Luka is very young fighter with Good striking and takedown defence.
-
23
- Mayrbek Sulumov
- 7-1-0
-
Very good wrestler. He's from Chechnya but trains and represents Georgia.
-
24
- Gocha Shainidze
- 5-0-0
-
GFC Champion. Very good grappler, I think that he has a lot to improve in his striking and wrestling, but he's still very young and has plenty of time for improvement.
-
25
- Ilia Qarukhnishvili
- 8-2-0
-
Very Balanced fighter. Lacks finishing ability but he's good everywhere. His last loss occured in a short notice fight where he knocked down his opponent but he gassed out and lost fight by decision.
-
26
- Nika Kobakhidze
- 5-2-0
-
Muay thai fighter with decent ground game. Trains with Morgan Charierre.
-
27
- Nika Jakonia
- "Boogeyman" | 5-0-0
-

-
28
- Sandro Tevzadze
- 3-0-0
-
Sandro is high level grappler with good wrestling.
-
29
- Bekari Kapanadze
- 4-0-0
-
Trains in ATT. Good wrestler with a lot of power and heavy hands.
-
30
- Dimitri Bolkvadze
- 7-2-0, 1 NC
-
Dimitri is well rounded fighter who mainly depends on wrestling.
-
31
- Vazha Tsiptauri
- 14-6-1
-
Vazha is a wrestler but he always has very exciting fights. He did well in ACA if we consider that he only lost close fights to top fighters when he's foreigner and we all know that judges always favor local fighters in ACA.
-
32
- Beno Adamia
- 11-8-2
-
Beno made very bad mistakes in beginning of his career and until moving to new gym and management he looked like a can if we consider his record, but he came from nowhere and beat very good fighters in his last fights. He has a good run and maybe he's turning around his career.
-
33
- Khamad Gunaev
- 5-2-0
-
Very good striker with good defensive wrestling. Same as Mayrbek Sulumov he's from Chechnya and represents Georgia.
-
34
- Beka Tamliani

-
35

-
36
- Amiran Mamuladze
- 2-0-0
-
Very high level and well rounded prospect with good striking and grappling.
-
37
- Miro Vanadze
- 9-2-0
-
38
- Ruslan Bolkvadze
- 8-4-0
-
GFC Champion. Ruslan started MMA little bit late and improves day by day. His style is mainly grappling, he doesn't have knockout power but is not bad at standing too. He's much younger than he seems like.
-
39
- Khamid Azimov
