I was 6'1" 205 for two years or so and looked no bigger than 185, so I cut back just a little on calories and alcohol and dropped to 185 within a few months and even I can't tell a difference.  I think some bodies store excess weight in certain areas and some spread more evenly.  Just genetics.  But of course exercise always helps, regardless of genetics.  Just was giving an example of 20 pounds showing no visible difference.

@Anik Yeah I've been wanting to take supplements I heard they're great but never gotten around to getting any.  Buying protein drinks alone is expensive as hell and I'm not sure how expensive supplements are.

If you want mass eat more and do squats.  Generally speaking the cleaner you eat the better the weight gain will be but there are always exceptions.

Wolf, lasagna ironically is one of the best foods to eat during the growth phase, because it has the right balance of Carbs, Fats and protein.

Luckily I have parents that cook every night, the last time I had fast food was last month but before that I was looking at close to a year without fast food.  And this november will mark 2 years of no soda for me.

Anik, during a growth phase just focus on intaking calories no matter where they come from.  your focus should be eating and lifting.

Alright. I think I should alternate between mass (heavy weight, small amount of reps) and cardio (light weight, large amount of reps) lifting, do all of you think that's a good idea?

Take it how you will anik

when i was bulking I gained 50p of muscle doing this routine

workouts, i wasn't too meticulous about but i always kept everything the same rep wise
5 sets of 6 reps (3 workouts) - 3 sets of 10 superset (3 workouts)
I had chicken with brown rice before my workout. After I had a protein shake, 500ml of chocolate milk, and 30 minutes later had a big dinner.. usually chicken and veggies.
if you combined stuff like that with creatine/ branch amino acids, it could help you a lot.

oh and I forgot. never do cardio.
