Yes Thiago he was found dead one day out in the desert because his dirt bike had run out of gas. At least this is what I heard. Something about him calling his friend's wife to say that his bike had run out of gas and that he was going to walk to get some more and then he was never heard from again. That day the temperature was over 110oF. That's all I really know about it. I don't know what the exact cause for his death was. Possibly some kind of heat stroke. He was alone so if he were to pass out that would be about it for him unless someone had found him sooner. It's a tragedy really.

I haven't missed a UFC PPV since UFC 64 in October of 2006. Even through 2 deployments to Iraq i found a way to watch each fight within a couple days of it happening live, if not live at 4AM. I didn't really get into other events like Strikeforce, EliteXC, or even Pride until i started seeing some fights on YouTube. Love this ****! Back to the forum - Evan Tanner was a tough son of a ***** who was fighting a lot of demons in his life to include alcoholism. I'm glad he sobered up and went out in on his own terms involving the nature. My favorite fight with him was against David Terrell when he won the middleweight title - 2nd favorite was the beating he took by Franklin to lose the title, though he did drop Rich early in the fight.

@bk that fight with terrell was so good. Terrell was favoured heavily too going in to that fight.
Looking back i really wish terrell was as good of a fighter as he was in the gym. Terrell is so injury prone too.
wish tanner was still around.
