This whole thing between Thiago, Rashad, and Rampage is a lil bit messed up now i love all of them but by my name you can tell whos my fave. I think the bout is going to go ahead seen as Rashad Rampage & Thiago have all denied that Rampage is fighting Rashad I really hope it goes ahead and what are your thoughts on whats going to happen.

Something fishy is going on. Either Thiago Silva is about to pop positive on a drug test, or UFC is just looking for a way to put a big money Rampage vs Rashad rematch together. Or maybe this is all just rumors.
I guess we'll find out soon...

Honestly I kind of have a feeling the UFC got caught trying to pull a fast one on the fans, only this time the fighters had yet to be notified so they certainly didn't help the storyline truck along smoothly.
Earlier today I saw a confident-sounding Silva remark that he had failed one test and passed another, but that he was sure he would be cleared and that he didn't take anything. I think the UFC wants to capitalize on Evans's injury to book that rematch and make a clear-cut contender to follow-up on Jones.
That said, it could be the case that Silva took a banned substance to aid his recovery from back surgery during his time off and traces of it were still in his system come fight time. If he pops for a painkiller, I think it will be unfortunate because I don't really see anything unsportsmanlike about that given certain situations and depending on the severity of the sample.

Thiago's drug test still hasn't come back. UFC is prepping for a + test, if the test comes back - then Thiago still fights Rampage. We won't know for a bit though. His test is delayed for some reason, it's getting a little deeper scrutiny.

They did not reveal what he tested positive for at this time. As far as I understand it, since two samples were processed and only one came up positive, they are probably in the midst of re-tests right now to clear up any errors that might have been made. The painkiller theory is just what I am leaning toward, not anabolic steroids, if he tests positive at all.
As for the fight itself, I think Silva has the size and well-roundedness to beat Rampage, but I do think Rampage packs more into each punch and has the most technical boxing. Tough one to pick.

His injury was just a sprain. They said right when he got injured that he would be good to go by May, which is exactly when the Rampage fight is. The timing actually works out perfectly for them to make that fight and it's no doubt a bigger fight for them in terms of PPV buys.

I think they are just prepping for a positive test. So it wont be as big of a shock when it comes back. I hope it doesn't though. I want to see page vs thiago

I don't really mind if they do Page vs. Evans. I'd like to see Silva take on Franklin or somebody of that caliber before he steps up against the top five again. Last time he did that he got stomped.
