Is it too much to ask for this fight to end with them both getting KO'd after a brutal 4-round war that puts both of them out of commission for a while?

As long as Evans can get inside of Jones reach I think he will do good. Also Evans needs to be the one to either take the fight down or use TDD to keep the fight standing, I see a crazy right hand finish for Hashad here.

@mike I think Rashad has a very good chance of doing just that.
I see him staying outside of Jones reach and then darting inside and landing solid blows.
And hopefully Rashad will take Jones down a couple of notches
I really just dont like how ****y jones is and then talking about how he is humble.

If Rashad couldn't finish Phil Davis He won't finish Jones.... Sorry to say.. But also Im 99.99999% sure that Rashad's cardio will not hold up against Bones. I think some people are so blinded by their hate for Jon that they don't realize how damn good he is. He has finished every top title contender and with clear domination. Regardless of press and peoples opinions on his attitude, it's all hear/say drama to me. I've met the guy multiple times, and he's been respectful and nice towards me. I don't know about you guys, but I embrace champions/fighters that put on exciting fights and finish them and he is definitely one that lives up to that.

Exactly, people seem to forget that this is MMA not a popularity contest, if you love MMA, you can't not love watching Jones fight, because he's amazing.

Rashad's only chance in this is a sub imo, I just don't see what he has for Jones, he's fought a fast guy in Machida and showed he could end the fight whenever he wanted, I think Jones will dump him on his head and choke him out.

@lyotolegion, first off i like that you're a lyoto fan. he's one of my favs. but, secondly, i'm not sure how jones showed he could end the fight whenever he wanted. if that were true, why wouldn't he have ended it in the first round?

Tbh, Jones does little wrong. I resent unbeaten success - as do most people. We're shallow human beings. I know when I see Jones lose I'll get on his bangwagon :\. I rooted so hard for Shogun against Machida, now I love him.

Edit: Realised Gregory was above me, so I'd like to change this post. I dislike Jones because his calf muscles are pathetic.

I'll get on Jones bandwagon once he develops a personality.

@lbj as soon as he took Machida down that fight was all but over, he got the takedown with ease and that's when the tide turned and he opened Machida up and finished him shortly after.

Same with Rampage and Shogun he had his sights set on finishing Rampage and he did just that in the fourth and he turned it on against Shogun when he decided it was time to finish. He's a monster and I don't see what Rashad has for him except speed and ju-jitsu.

so he's really good at knowing when to finish then. not necessarily finishing the fight at the exact moment he wants to. i agree with the bjj part. i think people overlook the fact that he has a black belt in it

ok its simple i am going to break down who has what advantages (JBJ for jones RE for evans)
Reach  JBJ >>> RE
Power JBJ > RE
Speed JBJ << RE
technical skill striking JBJ << RE
explosiveness JBJ > RE
Intelligence (as a fighter not IQ) JBJ < RE
Experience JBJ < RE
Take down D JBJ = RE
Wrestling JBJ = RE
BJJ  JBJ << RE

before you get all mad i used the greater than / less than keys not arrows (1 < or > is slight advantage 2 is large advantage 3 is huge advantage)

That puts the fight at near even with Evans at slight advantage, so simply put all those people that say Rashad has no chance are just wrong... it will be a good fight and i think Evans will edge out a win

Jones has got this. Rashad may give him problems for a round or two but then it will be the Jones show. I'm seeing 4th round KO/TKO

I think your power is wrong...In terms of standing...Jones has 0 KOs in the UFC while Rashad has 3...and 2 of them are some of the best ever!

BJJ goes to Jon Bones Jones. He actually submits fighters, and good ones.
Rasahad is much more powerful than JBJ. Rashad is a more muscular LHW.
Technical striking goes to JBJ -  Evans isnt that technical, he doest throw that many combos, he just throws haymakers, or punches for takedowns.
Rasahd is also more explosive than JBJ, his power double is nuts, and he throws haymakers incredibly fast
I would also give the intelligence as a fighter to JBJ, Rashad gets caught in almost all his fights, JBJ fights to his strengths, and is usually never in danger.
