UFC 294
Well folks, 5 more sleeps as the great Jon Anik would say. Lots of emotions and excitement as we enter fight week. Volk is such an inspiration. Islam is a dominant champion I believe the first fight was the best fight of 2023. 10 days short notice up a weight class for Volk. A completely different fight for Islam as he prepped for a rematch with Charles Oliveira. The big question is if Volks cardio can be dialed in for a 5 round war, if anyone is the man to do it its Alexander "The Great" Volkanovski. I have high hopes for a great fight but, we can never sleep on the ground game of Islam. And for the co main being contested at 185 pounds, we have an amazing matchup. Kamaru Usman former welterweight champion also stepping in on short notice is slated to fight Khamzat Chimaev. As he prepares for a matchup with the undefeated Khamzat Chiamaev he will be fighting at 185 pounds for the first time. A matchup of two excellent wrestlers will be very interesting, and we could see a stand up war. Hope everyone enjoys this great event. I find we don't emphasize the greatness of Volk the way we should. With a record of 26-2 with 13 knockouts, 3 submissions, and 10 decisions this man has shown his greatness every step of the way. As he steps in on short notice to fight and rematch, one of the best and most dominant fighters (Islam Makhachev) we can do nothing but respect his willingness to compete.

UFC @295
Ladies and gentleman in a turn of unforeseen events, we have another massive shakeup. Heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones, widely regarded as the g.o.a.t. (Greatest of all time) Suffered a torn pectoral muscle in training. Opponent Stipe Miocic who is regarded by many as the G.O.A.T of the heavyweight division, was reportedly offered a fight with #2 contender Sergei Pavlovich but declined being set on fighting Jon Jones. With another tremendous job by the ufc matchmakers we already have a interim title in place. The UFC 2995 co main event will now feature #2 contender Sergei Pavlovich who will take on #4 England's own Tom Aspinall. The previous co main event Alex Periera vs Jiří Procházka will now be featured as the main event of UFC 295. After being sidelined with a gruesome shoulder injury for over a year, Procházka looks to regain the belt he once laid claim too. Periera, after moving up to light heavyweight looks to grab a second belt in a new weight class. With only 10 professional MMA fights Alex “Poatan” Periera will prepare to do the unthinkable. Rarely do these two face one capable of the same amount of sheer violence but, these two have met their match. Jiri Procházka, took the belt from Glover Texeira best friend and main training partner of Alex Periera. The stage is set as the apprentice looks to avenge his master.
