Youth tends to matter in boxing, fighting in general. Opetaia has a good amateur career, anyone who has been to the Olympics is credible. But he's fought nobody of any note.
Briedis is and has been the no. 1 at 200lbs since Usyk left in 2018. Speaking of Usyk, Breidis is the man who pushed him the most, only lost a Majority decision. He has fought and beaten some of the best guys at 200lbs. He should have no problem with Opetaia.
Unless he turns up old, or, as always, those DAMN judges!!!!
