I think you're going to be disappointed Thiago. Remember Markes handled a LHW wrestler in Vemola with ease. Simpson better be ready to do a Liddell impersonation and I bet he gets tagged and goes into wrestle mode at some point.

@mulefloyd.. Vemola was highly over-rated, He's not close to the level of wrestler Simpson is. Simpson has ever improving stand up and I think he will get the decision!

Oh yeah, I forgot his last fight at 136 vs. Schafer, another former LHW. I do think Markes is better than Schafer but if Simpson keeps it standing I'll probably favor him. I'm just a sucker for effective grapplers who can sweep wrestlers :)

@mulefloyd .. Munoz, Schafer, Miranda are the 3 I can think of, he handled 2 of them easily and Munoz was a very close fight.

Yeah but Munoz isn't a grappler, he's a wrestler. Big difference. Munoz is very ineffective off his back from what I've seen. That's why I'll pick Chael over him.

Munoz has a nasty deep half guard that he used to sweep Aaron Simpson, who is a tough guy to sweep.

@mule, I don't. He may be able to wall walk up a couple times but in my opinion he will spend the majority of that fight on his back, Chael has great takedowns and control. Hope I'm wrong and he can make it a war though.

Very interesting matchup. Markes looked real good against Vemola, who is a large LHW. Didn't even know he was dropping to 185. This should be a close one though. I think I'll take Simpson for now, but i'll probably change it
