by saying that your actually saying it to me as well, because that's actually my first name. if i didn't like you yet @thiago, i'd have to after that. i'm glad we can all state our opinions and it doesn't get messy on here like most underground forums, or even sherdog....

I dont think we are giving Lesnars cage control here enough respect, while i think his chin is very suspect, we really havent seen much of JDS' clinch game. Big country always wants to bang and was already battered when he went for takedowns late only to be shrugged off. But i think if Lesnar can get inside this fight could be very interesting, especially to see JDS off his back, he has the size to match Lesnar but i doubt the strength.
still JDS by KO in round 2....

A much closer fight than a lot of people think. I'm giving Dos Santos the benefit of the doubt that the Nogueira BJJ training he's received will help him survive a few Lesnar takedowns, because Lesnar will get early takedowns. Wouldn't be shocked at all to see Lesnar win this one, but neither will beat Cain.

JDS will win this one. Junior is good enough to survive on the ground if brock takes him there, and is fast enough and powerful enough to do damage to brock when they are standing. He will win and we will finally get the Cain/JDS superfight.

Dana white has already said this will not be an interim title fights so its a 3 round fight. This is an advantage for lesnar but the question is will brock get caught before he can get jds on the ground. I don't see jds getting up like velasquez did without a strong wrestling background. I think this is a bad matchup for dos santos

Unless Lesnar can learn to take a punch for a rough night. I really think his stand up would be ok if he wouldn't run everytime he gets hit. Look back at the Couture fight his hands didn't look bad.

Brock has a better shot at winning this fight then most seem to be giving him. When Brock takes Dos Santos down if he can control him he'll grind out rounds and nobody can take Brock pounding them on the ground for to long before they're sleeping! However I see Dos Santos getting the better of this fight during an exchange at the start of round 2 or 3

i envision an immediate takedown from lesnar...but doesn't get the stoppage....2nd round, dos santos catches brock on way in with the werdum "hi fist, i see you!!" uppercut and ends it

Lesnar is so powerful, a great wrestler, and has a great work ethic. He just can't take a punch. Which JDS dishes out quite well.

Lesnar just had an interview with MMAFighting.com with Ariel Helwani, which was pretty interesting. Talks about the Cain fight, Undertaker and pro wrestling, and of course TUF 13.

Regarding Lesnar/JDS, I agree that Lesnar should have an easier time taking down Cigano than he did Carwin or Velasquez. However, he has to keep him down over the course of three rounds, or even less likely, finish him. He'll be harder to keep down than Heath Herring was, much much harder to finish than Frank Mir, and hits much much harder than both of those guys.

My only concern is JDS' ability to stop Brock's takedowns. I'd rather Junior stay on the feet and finish him in his area f strenth instead of risking being controlled on the ground.

Lesnar has to successfully take him down and keep him down all three rounds, unless he finishes him. I think both are unlikely. He may be able to take him down, but I think he'll get clipped at some point.

Lesnar has a glass chin. Dos santos has very powerful hands. Those two together make for a nice Knockout.

JDS aint Mir, Couture or Herring.. Hes not gonna stay on his back and let Brock punch him. JDS is too explosive to stay on his back, Roy Nelson took him down and he got right back up..

Lesnar's takedowns are going to be JDS's problem. Carwin and Cain are possibly the hardest hitters in the game, and they had good wrestling. I can see this fight going either way.

I think if Dos Santos can hurt Brock quickly he has a good shot at winning but I really think this fight depends on whether or not Brock can take Dos Santos down. If he can I think Lesnar would win but I don't know if he would finish him or not since I haven't really seen much of Dos Santos' ground game at all. Junior hasn't faced any top wrestlers yet in the UFC which could be a problem but who knows how Lesnar is going to come back from his loss. I am really excited for the fight though it should be a good one. I'm also really looking forward to this season's TUF, I wonder if the ratings could beat the ratings for the TUF episode where Kimbo fought Roy Nelson.

@yaspaa, Carwin may have more power, but JDS has so much more technique. Takedowns will be a problem, and I'm sure JDS is training mostly on tdd. That said, If JDS can land just a couple shots, Lesnar has shown in the past that when he gets hit hard, he instantly turtles up. I'm hoping for a war. I like both guys. I just see Dos Santos's standup being too much for Lesnar.
