What do y’all think of the WBC’s decision to take all Russian/Belarusian fighters off the rankings? I don’t support what Russia is doing rn but I think this decision is idiotic.

WBC is comically corrupt so I doubt their doing it for an ehtical reason, they probably just want to make sure Mexican boxers are ranked higher.

@tepid55 I have a friend in Ukraine and I think they are pretty cool people in general most of them, but it was inevitable.... Thats why they didnt put Ukraine in NATO cause it would have doomed us to WW3 (and Ukraine is a really corrupt dark web/black market country, it gets pretty dark and extreme without going into details lets just say demon and money worship... What else do you call it?) They kept talking about putting weapons etc into Ukraine build them up, and Biden and his family have some major dealings in Ukraine, so there was no other way it could have gone....

I get Russia is in the wrong but imagine being a fighter who’s been slowly working their way up the rankings only for all that work to be erased because the country they were born in made a decision completely out of their control. That’s bs and I don’t see how this could do any meaningful damage to the Russian government.

@Cheeseball I get you and your not wrong.... So they are banned from pro boxing? They are all allowed fight in MMA leagues, UFC, PFL Bellator.....

So its up to the Russian amateur organizations to keep it alive at the grass roots level or until they are back in

Nah just means they won’t be ranked by the WBC. Pretty sure all the other major belt orgs still allow Russians to be ranked. Hopefully this doesn’t ruin any future unifications.
