I'm genuinely curious why you'd call Smith vs da Silva a meaningful fight since da Silva's best (and only) UFC win is against the UFC winless Rodrigo Vargas and Devonte Smith's best win is either Julian Erosa (1-3 in the UFC) or the laughably bad "Bang" Dong Hyun Kim.

Maxis, firstly I appreciate the conversation. And, strictly speaking, you’re right this fight is not meaningful. I added it to the list because, for me, it’s a “fight of interest.”
Both are relatively young and definitely explosive. It’s a clash of top athletes.
I thought Da Silva performed well versus a Brad Riddell floating just outside the Top 15. Smith disappointed versus Khama Worthy but his charisma and fighting style are enough to tune in.
Da Silva has more upside and Smith will, at best, become a UFC journeyman but right now they will show a high level performance because they’re fighting in their physical primes. Potential for fireworks.
