@gwinCLARKE2019 it's a real ****show where I live. I live on acreage but I can't use vast swathes of it owing to various environmental laws, flood zonings, really weird subdivision laws which you'd basically need a High Court judge to actually sift through and make a determination as to what is and isn't legal and a plethora of very expensive licensing fees and permits which I would need to get regardless of whether I'd ever use them or get any value out of them or not. It's a quagmire. I'm negotiating it all slowly though.

Xconchris Thanks for the reminder that I'm not doing this for useless reasons, I wonder if that's the reason why everybody seems so much richer than me whos my age. Maybe they aren't saving and wasting their money on cars n ****.

@Chris believe it or not I actually literally do have a Koala zone. I do see them pretty regularly here.

When i use to bar tend the people that came in wearing expensive clothes, shoes, nice car and looking spectacular, had 3 credit cards decline and left their ATM statement on the bar with 150 dollars in their bank account.
Some more down to Earth and sometimes rugged people with work boots, and cheap cloths had 4-5 houses, a boat, and a few 100k in cash.

Xconchris I live very minimalist right now. I only have my computer, bed and my living room has mats for rolling lmao, maybe gonna buy some mats for the walls so I can practise humping against the wall.

@Chris what gets me is that regular I will see young people who are either apprentices, or cafe workers, driving around in cars that cost 80K.
They want it all right now, but all they're doing is getting themselves into debt cycles. I would like to see a bit of more financial awareness and common sense.
Take care of the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves, kids.

Debt cycle is real, had a 24 year old kid at work telling me he's going to rent a apartment because he didn't like his parents rules. Sat him down and explained equity and debt cycle and to save 20% for a house to avoid PMI. Also open a retirement account now

@Tartara I lived my 17th summer in an A-frame in the woods, while working as a lifeguard. Rain on a metal roof. :)
