Let me Start, I find it insane it like 4 days to Chrismas , Im suprise it so close to the end of the Year,  Fells like Junes.Anyone have anything cool plan for Chrissy, I’m probley just gonna mess around at the gym

I'm in the same boat as TW Jake. I'd feel like a freeloading douch if I turned the ads off all the time. My main web browser Opera GX has ad block on default though which I don't turn off (usually keep the ads on when I'm using mobile instead).

Most of Tapology's revenue doesn't come from ads. It comes from selling the data you generate.

I know that advertising online can be annoying, which is why I'm not going to give anyone a hard time if they have it blocked. Obviously I don't want it to be blocked, but you all can make your own decision on that. 

I don't know what baldric is talking about when he says we make money from selling the data you generate. We run advertising on the site, that's how revenue comes in.

@Greg what? I'd have thought Tap's revenue would be coming mostly from market research.

If most revenue is coming from ads I might have to allow some through.

I'd still rather there was some way to donate directly.

its a free site. there's gonna be ads. it just seems like they've gotten bigger and conveniently in the way now. 

This guy in Australia lost an 5 dollar  parley on the last leg, the parley was to win 800 grand, and the last leg was a rugby match, the worst team in the competition, vs one of the better one, and the worst team in the competition won 32 to 4, made me fell better for lossing my 7 leg parley with Glover being the last leg

I think I've spent roughly 15 years of my life now on or around different internet forums, and each time the biggest problem was "how do we keep the site running?" Getting ad revenue like what Greg is talking about was seen as a major "achievement" for a lot of places I've been to, especially when Google's ad sense was bringing in decent money - if you found a way to retain a consistent daily user activity you could probably pay your monthly server costs in like a week, sometimes a day if you run a website that releases "breaking news" and stuff. I've also known certain website owners who worked two or three different jobs just so that they can pay for the maintenance and server costs to keep their forums running because there was just no other option on the table for them.


You can't avoid ad block, that's just a fact, but I also haven't really seen any other solutions to this problem outside of - 1) letting users donate directly to you, or 2) getting funding for your website (e.g. through sponsorships or investments). So if the ads won't keep things afloat anymore, I don't really see any other solutions to attempt other than those two. I mean you can definitely become a Saint for the community and keep things afloat with your own cash, but I've seen that literally ruin some people and I do not recommend it outside of some emergency where you need to do it for like 2-3 months tops.

The ads are not too bad on here and I am a huge hater of being bombarded.
One of the many reasons I migrated from sherdawhgggg, seriously you go there too many times putini will be running your computer.
 

I turned off adblock and immediately got an Ad for some kind of service that removes ads.

Simps and virgins need to get to leave the Crypto bonus alone, it quite sad how the last PPV,  they’re voted Rose  number 1 fighter, and for this PPV they voted Valentina Shevshinko, I could name 8 fighter on the card that deserve the fight Jiri, Glover, Weili, Matthews, Jack Della, Culibau, Munashate and Juarez, Valentina got gifted a decsion over Talia Santos, I think even Santo derseve the bonus over Valentina

Also, Valentina did not win that fight, Talia Santos got robbed, in the first and 3rd she almost choke Valentina out, and in the 2nd round, she got 3 minute 40 of top control and got her down twice, since when was getting taken down twice and control for almost 4 minute of a 5 minute round a win in the judge eyes

People don’t want to say it becuase they simp over Valentina, but she was lucky to get that decsion, also Valentina isn’t that hot, she about a 5 out of 10, she look like Elmer Fudd from looney toons
