@Benjamin I don't think Ishii would get a hometown decision over Fedor who made his career in Japan

I hope you're right.  Ishii is an olympian, there is alot of pride (no pun intended) wrapped up in that.

That is true...Ishii is a gold medalist so he might be one of the few that could get the decision!

Ishii may be a olympic gold medelist in judo, but Fedor has a very strong judo background too, its gonna come down to if ishii can take Fedor punches and kicks...

Ishii still hasn't demonstrated any real aptitude for MMA whatsoever.  Unless he's somehow transformed himself in the past few months, even the 2011 version of Fedor should comfortably win this.

Well, if Ishii is going to make those kinds of improvements, he's training at the right place (ATT).  Monson and Bigfoot Silva also train there, so that could be a leg up for Ishii.

Fedor is obviously past his prime, but if he loses against Ishii then he should quit.

Actually, he dominated Filho.  It was one of those sketchy Brasil shows where the hometown guy can't lose.  I think many of us watched that stream live, so someone can correct me if I am wrong.

I don't see any area that Ishii can really threaten Fedor. I see either Fedor by tko/KO or a one-sided decision where Ishii's pride saves him from being finished.
