lyoto couldnt defeat the increasingly washed up Shogun, i dont see him winning against jones.
machida doesnt have stopping power, which means he would have to win a decision, good luck with that...

Yes. If you think otherwise you really need to do your homework. There's a reason why this is considered a dream match up stylistically to most MMA enthusiasts. Machida has a chance and that leaves an opportunity. I have faith in "The Dragon". No matter the outcome it's been a match up I've been wanting to see for a long long time.

Machida could definitely win. It's going to such an interesting match up. Machida has such a different style then anyone else in the light heavyweight division. And Jones has looked great in all of his fights. Can't wait.

Machida's style just will not match up well against Jones.

Interesting note: King Mo is going to Brazil to help Lyoto for this fight.

@justyn i know king mo is good but its not going to help machida out much i think this is going to be as one sided as the jones vs rua fight IMO.

it's a very interesting fight, i'm hoping for some counter strikes which should test jones chin a bit cause thats MAYBE jbj's only weakness but i think machida goes in this fight with very little chances to win. for now i would rank jbj's chin at 5-7 bisbings (for all sherdog posters)

yeah a guy came up with a weird but very funny ranking system for chins arlovski has 0.3 bisbings, mark hunt shogun or hendo are all very high ranked...
