So today I rewatched the UFC 245 card and in the main event I honestly had it 3-1 Covington going into the last round. I had him winning rounds 1, 2, and 4 and it’s not like 3 wasn’t a close one either. I just felt that he was landing solid combinations throughout the fight. I also had him winning in the last round until the knockdowns obviously. I know the judges had it as a tie going into the last round and Usman would’ve won on the score cards, but my question is why did no one ever bring any attention to all the hammer fists to the back of Covington’s head that sealed the deal? He might’ve finished him anyways but there were multiple illegal strikes that caused the stoppage and I haven’t seen anyone ever bring those up. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

@Josh what the actual literal **** are are you talking about? Saying That Usman only won by injruy pertaining to the fact he broke Colby's Jaw is like saying 'Oh yeah, so and so only won because when he he punched the other guy in the face, he went unconscious'.

Jesus Christ.

And **** everybody in this thread in the ear for making me defend Kamaru 'Find the sausage' Usman while we're on it, too. How anyone can find him rutting about in his opponent's balls like a truffle pig for 4 1/2 minutes of every round is beyond me. I would rather have the manual to a 1950's vacuum cleaner read to me by a stuttering 90 year old with early onset dementia than ever watch him fight anybody ever again.

Jaws break..

My point is if jaw breaks he is open to a ko plain and simple either by pain and wanting out or lack of keeping it closed.
It happens plenty by not impressive strikers defeating touted strikers with shock and disbelief.
Watch my boy clay win againt rda that way a notoriously tough guy.
What is wild is when dudes eardrums pop from strikes thats ******!
All seemed pretty clear to me I will rewatch asap but I stand by my words.

Well yeah, but it's not like broke it by slipping on a banana peel during the walkout. He didn't break his jaw. Usman did.

Edit: I didn't downvote you. I never downvote anyone for giving an opinion regardless of whether I agree with it or not.
