I'm not sure what my weight is currently at but I'd guess 250. I won't stop till I hit lightweight 155. I'm 5'9 so that sounds about right.

Broke for morning coffee. Two teaspoons of sugar.
This is going to be harder than I thought.

Freemoney - I started doing a monthly 24-hour fast back in January. Pro tip: start at midday. Trust me. At 1PM, I go to a water fast. I can have all the water I want, but nothing else. I usually do this Friday 1PM to Saturday 1PM. Hours 8-12 are the hardest, then I'm asleep for a bunch of the hours, and by the time lunch rolls around on Saturday my body has become accustomed to operating on no food. Usually, by the time I break my fast, I could realistically let it go longer without it being disruptive to my life.

Some other things you might think about:
1. Cutting out all the things you love all at once, probably not going to last. Better to cut things out of your diet slowly so that you can actually maintain the change, rather than struggle with it before giving in 3-4 days after starting. Incremental changes that last and lead to overall healthier lifestyles > big changes that don't last.
2. Portion control. I pretty much eat what I want, but how much I eat I do control. One thing that I have found personally helps me is to reduce the groceries I buy when I go to the store. Going to the store and only getting a couple days worth of food, while completely avoiding snack aisles is helpful, as it means you just don't have food at your place to snack on.
3. Plan for time of the day you can eat. Intermittent fasting is...okay. For me, it was much easier to slowly cut back the hours during which I could have anything but water. I started by not eating/drinking anything but water 12AM-6AM (this was easy because I was asleep for most of that!). Every week or every other week I would chop 15-30 minutes off of eating time. For example, no food during: Week 1 12AM-6AM, Week 2 11:45PM-6:15AM, Week 3 11:30PM-6:30AM, Week 4 11:15PM-6:45AM, Week 5 11PM-7AM, Week 6 10:45PM-7AM, Week 7 10:30PM-7AM, etc.

@zarog Thanx for the advice. I agree a little at a time is best. I've quit hardcore drugs, drinking and cigarettes all like you said a little at a time over the last few years.

I find motivation and lack of energy are my biggest hurdles. I know it gets a little easier everyday u do it and a little harder everyday you don't (Thanx cold weather, Christmas and corona virus)
We acquire the bad habits a little at a time so we have to get rid of them the same way.

Update: still no food but I'm having a second coffee with two teaspoons of sugar. Still no solid food. Twelve hours in. Normally I'd of had three coffees
by now with three if not four teaspoons of sugar each.

I don't have much to add but one thing I can say is that cutting out red meat entirely, and cutting down on meat in general will 100% make you drop weight. You'll also feel a hell of  lot better too.
