Ok, so basically google is a search engine. A browser. A fairly **** one by the standards of the other options out there. Here's how to think about a search engine; it's basically a cab driver. And the world wide web is a giant city. Your search engine, the cab driver, knows the address of all the real estate in the city and can take you there. Google is the Cab driver that records your conversation in the car and gives your personal details to third party marketing companies.
Download this browser. It's a google alternative.

after you've downloaded that, you need some extensions to make your browsing experience better. Once you download Opera, and you download these extensions, they will be added to opera automatically. You don't have to do anything, it's fire and forget. The first kind you need is something to block Adverts.
Ublock origin is good.

The second thing you need is something to stop websites running shonky scripts on pages. This will also stop you getting 'browserjacked'--getting redirected to malicious pages.

Then you need something to stop phishing scams etc. Avaast is good.

This removes tracking info:

Not necessary but I also recommend google opt-out. And use a VPN. Give nobody anything.

@fish, love the google cap analogy. That's why I never speak in a cap, cause you do know for sure someone is listening. Also thx for the insight and advice much appreciated

For anyone willing to help that is having the Chrome issue where the fighter table does not automatically load, it would be great if you could tell me the following:
- What Chrome version number are you running (in the menu you'd look for "About Google Chrome")
- What kind of device are you using (Mac, Windows PC, Android phone, iPhone, etc)
- What Chrome extensions are you using (in Chrome settings, there is an Extensions tab which will list them)
Thanks in advance!

Thanks @Rombu. Your Chrome version 65 is about 18 months old. Can you update? There should be a link to update right next to where it shows your version.
Honestly, this might not make any difference. But it will be interesting to see the answer.

It seems to happen after leaving the browser & Tapology open for days without closing it.
What I see is - Example - my AV stops working (the animation) just like the fighter table’s doesn’t show unless I move the page up or down. If you understand what I’m saying?
For me this problem is FIXED after I clear History & Website Data then restart on iPad 13.2 using Safari.
But this method seems not to work for other users as brad was saying.
A least I understand what everyone is talking about now.
Thx fish for that information. I might test it on a android.

@Hippie, @Rombu Next time this comes up, can you see what happens if you skip the "clear history" and skip the login/logout? That is, just close the browser and open it again. Does that alone solve the issue for you?
