@anik i know they aren't everything, but you can't connect to music if you can't connect to the lyrics.
I am not saying anything about anyone that likes Lil Wayne if you like him then that is fine and you probably have a reason as to why you like him. But he is not a good musician and that is something that can't really be argued.

Of course you can connect to music without lyrics. That's one of the most ignorant statements I've heard in my life.

Listen to Wolfgang Mozart's 5th Symphony. Listen to Fur Elise. Listen to freaking dubstep.

If you can't connect to music without having the artist tell you what he's about, I feel sorry for you.

Some of my favorite songs are instrumental. An instrumental song can be even better in that it can be interpreted however you want. It can be about whatever you want.

Kevin Federline didnt get famous by making music; he got famous by dating brittany spears. Theres so much ******** you have to go through to make it, you don't even understand. Theres so much ******* work into making a record, or putting on a concert, you have to have talent.

No, im sorry, I dont know it. I know that every major band Ive met and worked with had talent. Ive seen what it takes to make it, and no amateurs are walking through.

@nik key word there being band.
I would agree most BANDS do have talent atleast to a certain degree. But i would say that it is a more then fair statement that many people in hip hop/rap and pop do not have very much talent at all.

There are definitely some pop acts that just get groomed by record companies...auto-tune is a beautiful thing. That doesn't mean they aren't hard working or professional, but they aren't necessarily always really all that talented.

Funny thing is, mostly every singer gets auto tuned to a certain extent in the studio.

Its a moot subject to most, but I've been in there with some heavyweights and seen some ****. I will agree to disagree.
