Aoki says this fight will happen "for sure in 2012".  The article doesn't mention what orgthe fight would be under.

I think I would have to pick Eddie this time around.

I definitely think Alvarez is capable of beating Aoki. ...****...he was probably capable of beating him last time.

It's an extremely interesting fight.  Aoki is always one mistake away from getting KTFO, and Alvarez is always one mistake from falling into Aoki's web.

This time around though, smart money is probably on Alvarez.  He seems to have sured-up his ground game since his loss to Aoki, getting a few submission wins himself.  Although, he hasn't fought a grappler in Aoki's league since that loss.

I could see it going either way.  Anyone without the highest level of submission defense could get submitted by Aoki on any given night.  I'll probably end up picking Alvarez by (T)KO though.

I think Alvarez will win this time around and knock Aoki out of the rankings

I honestly think that if Melendez can do it in the fashion that he did, Alvarez definitely has a chance of beating Aoki.  Alvarez has fully evolved as a fighter since he last fought Aoki.  Aoki has not improved in my opinion, and I would love to see Eddie Alvarez fight Gilbert Melendez sometime soon.

Nothing sucks like getting submitted by a guy that butt-scoots.

Eddie can easily sneak in a KO punch.
But at the same time Aoki can easily sneak in a submission that seems to break the laws of physics.

If this fight happens, I'm picking Alvarez by TKO.

Alvarez via TKO... I expect him to follow the strategy that the fighter did in last year's New Year's Eve card.

I think Aoki will always be a good fighter..

Alvarez just does not need to be so deathly terrified of Aoki on the ground. Seriously, if he butscoots I want to see a flying forearm to his face.

Alvarez will win this fight easilly.

Wheres the fight taking place? If in Japan, Aoki wins. If the fights in a cage, Alvarez wins. Oh, and how the **** are people saying that Alvarez wins with 'ease'. His wrestling isn't all that good and its not like either Alvarez/Aoki was fallen/risen in skill level. If anything, Aoki tap Alvarez with ease again.
