This one's all about age. 26 fresh and improving Pearson will get it together against fading 34yr old veteran.

I gotta say, it was hard for me to make a decision on this one.  This is a great match-up of skill level and talents.  However, I think that Fisher's advantage in experience will help him have the edge when push comes to shove.  Pearson is a tough guy with good hands and take downs, but I am confident that Fisher's take down defense has improved enough to keep this fight standing.  Fisher's hands are faster, and I think his boxing and muay thai are more polished.  If this fight does go to the ground, I think Pearson could end it with ground and pound, but if it says standing I think Fisher has the potential to end the fight by TKO.  However, to be on the safe side, I could see both of these guys trading from beginning to end for an exciting decision victory for Spencer Fisher.

Fisher is gonna win by having much more experience.

This fight could be very exciting, or a very cautious fight for both since they're coming off losses.  Great matchup for sure though.

Not a fan of Pearson, honestly I hope Fisher puts it on him and finsishes early, but I see a decision as most probable

Fisher has definitely been fading over the years. Pearson should be able to out strike Fisher and take a decision.

Why does it seem to me Ross Pearson is on the verge of getting cut when he's 11-4 and before Cole Miller was on a 3 fight UFC win streak? I feel Ross really needs to win this fight if he wants to make a run in the UFC

SoccerKick "why do you get that feeling Ross is about to get cut when he is 3-1 in the UFC"

My best answer would be the loss the Cole Miller really set him back.  If you look at Cole Millers record, he has never beaten anyone in the UFC, that is STILL in the UFC.  They all got cut right away basically after losing to him.  On top of that Cole Miller was KTFO'd by Efrain Escudero, who isn't even in the UFC.  Cole's win over Ross Pearson made him seem legit and on a new level, but then Cole went on to get DOMINATED by Matt Wiman, putting him way back in the LW rankings where people thought he belongs.

I really hope that was just a fluke by Ross Pearson, he didn't seem to have that killer instinct, or precise striking like showed against Aaron Riley.  I look for him to rebound this fight, but cautiously.

I have no idea why I was thinking that, but after I researched I don't think he's close, but with the merger everyone seems to be a fight away from being cut right now!

I don't know, at lightweight, anyone could be cut after two losses. With this merger lightweights are being cut left and right. The only difference with Pearson is he is British (which brings in more viewers) and he won TUF, which makes him marketable. It doesn't really matter though, I don't think he'll lose this fight.
