Prediction: correct Romero   correct KO/TKO   correct Round 3

This fight seems really close on paper! Romero have a good enought wressling to avoid the ground game of Rockhold so its probably going to play on the feet. I think Rockhold is the best striker, but each time Romero gonna explode, theres a chance he knock Rockhold!

Despite the terrible state of MMA in 2018, we are still blessed with wonderful things like Luke Rockhold vs. The Soldier of God

I can see Romero shock and KO Rockhold early, but the chance of Rockhold picking him apart and finish him late seems more likely to me.

I hope Luke wins so we can see him against Whittaker.

Rockhold is good enough all around to weather the initial storm. He will out-strike, out-wrestle Romero in rounds 2 onwards. And i think he might tko an exahusted Romero in the third or fourth round.

Have to favor Rockhold if for no other reason than he has more ways to win but I think Romero's a terrible style matchup.

Rockhold's a more varied striker but his kicks are his best weapon and he doesn't use push or front kicks that much so his best striking weapon opens him up to being taken down where his ground game is the weakest - on the bottom. And with Romero's wrestling, Luke's chance to work BJJ from the top should be limited. The clinch may well decide this fight. Should be a great fight.

On rewatch I feel like Romero threw his game plan out the window after rd 1 because he knew his legs weren't gunna last the distance and went for the kill in rd 2 and 3.  Can't be sure though as Rockhold also hurt his legs in rd 1 and couldn't keep the range, allowing Romero to get to boxing distance and win.  I don't think either fighter expected the fight to pan out the way it did.

The good news is Whittaker said he wanted to fight Romero again because he likes his particular brand of crazy and now it seems he gets his wish.  I am excite.

That's what a real champ does; fights the next best guy regardless of the risk.

Unlike some recent former champs

to be fair to bisping he never once turned down any fight when he was champ. People keep acting like he was ducking people, but in reality he signed what the UFC gave to him. He may have publicly asked for a fighter, but he never refused a contract sent to him.   People give him way to much flack, while ignoring the fact Woodly is doing the thing everyone is excusing bisping of doing.  Woodly is actually turning down contracts left and right and demanding money fights. Bisping actually signed to fight Whittaker, but Whittaker got injured.  Woodly is straight up refusing to fight RDA and is asking for a light weight, yet Bisping gets all the hate, come on now. At least Bisping requests, made sense. FIghting the best Welter weight ever and getting revenge against he worst loss
