I've put the downvoting issue to bed now that I know it doesn't matter. I wish Greg and/or Skelli would actually explain how things work/logic behind them. Good case in point being the chip games thing...half the ******* site didn't even know how it worked before I made that post.

I figured that woulda been your reaction!
I guess I get what you mean, it just not something I ever think about. What I get pissy about on here is the fights being uploaded in time and the results getting updated in a reasonable time. That's how I managed to get the editor role, if you want something fixing best fix it yourself!!!
By the way, I am getting full control of Boxing on the site in the New Year. I think I've done an alright job in adding to the boxing on site, adding up to 40 events a week and over 1000 new fighters. But now I get the Big shows so I will make them much better. I have some idea's. If you guys have any suggestions for boxing coverage on the site let me know and I'll see what I can do

Pictures too! That's a BIG thing for me. You would not believe how much time I spend adding pictures of boxers on this site. Not even just random guys from the Phillipines/Argentina/Kazakhstan etc. No, even top 10 World Champion boxers had no profiles, or links, or wikis or pictures, nothing. Yesterday I had to add Roman Chocalatito Gonzalez! Guy was regarded the P4P no1 boxer a couple years back!!!
That is what I spend a tonne of time on the site doing. Creating or adding to fighter profiles
Not asking for credit by the way! Just saying what I do

I'm sticking to Boxing bud. I'm gonna need someone or 2 to help or take over the smaller shows, maybe split it into regions like what is done with MMA.
I don't think the editors are that bad. Most anyway do a good job. I think because I now know myself how time consuming, irritating(late fight card changes, last minute fight announcments, waiting for results etc.) Especially when covering the smaller shows. If an editor ****s up a Bellator, ONE, Titan, LFA, Cage Warriors etc that **** is frustrating, I mean majority of the fights are on Fight Pass and the results easily obtainable.
But when covering smaller shows, amateur, random shows in Uzbekistan, Ecuador, which the site does, it covers MMA at all levels across the globe, that's what I'm trying to get the boxing coverage standard to, but that will take time and a bit of help.
But back to my point, I feel I should stick up for my fellow editors because I'm sure we all just want to help make the site better and get as much info on it as possible. Again, I get it, the bigger shows, at least on TV or the net, there's no excuse to get those results wrong. But also it's a lot of data input and mistakes can be made, things missed. even I make the odd **** up! Yes I do, believe it or not!!! My point is I don't think any editor is trying to do a bad job, we all just want to contribute to the site

I dunno. My GF is a Graphic Design/ Animation whizz so I suppose I could get her to make this site prettier/cooler looking Gratas. That's about as much as I could kick in.
I still maintain I'd do a better Job than most of the Rabble that passes for staff here. Like I get people can be forgiven for making errors on obscure cards that feature rope-ring bouts between humans and geese in Timbuktu or whatever but there's really no excuse for porking Flagship events, as you say.
My votes go to BradThom, Meers, Shakeandbake , cartel--and Poir would also definitely be an excellent choice but I doubt he'd want to do it being tied up with the wagering league. Any of those guys would be good (especially Brad who has expressed interest and watches the cards live) and would get it done, but I suppose the situation is that there's an oversupply of US based editors and a dearth of UK based potential Editors. Timezones are probably as important as anything else. They're lucky they've got you to take of **** that happens across the pond, I'll say that.

Yeah, that's what I was meaning. The bigger events should always be correct, the small shows, I know from experience can be harder to find info and the late, late, SUPER ****** LATE bout changes drive me NUTS!!! Like I will input, say an 8 fight fight card 1 night, I will come back onto BoxRec to look for any other new fights, results etc. Then I find that the event I just added all the fights for, outta the 8 fights 2 have disappeared and the other 2 have completely different opponents!! Or sometimes, fights aren't announced until after they happen! I mean I put on a card that shows 4 fights, then 2 days after the event is over the results come out only with 8 new fights on the card!!!! Yeah those smaller shows are a nightmare!!!
Timezones do not affect me as I am a certified Insomniac!!!! I think Brad may be good to help me, but I'm not sure how keen he is to be searching BoxRec for events in Ghana, Nicaragua and Kazakhstan!!! I just added as many as I could possibly do as I was on a mission! Plus data input, statistics, data is kinda my thing! I'm happy to spend hours typing out records, results etc.
Like I said I have a few ideas, but will wait til after Xmas and New Year before anything changes. I'm wondering if adding Boxing rankings would be possible? A way of tracking the Boxing fights, like the MMA fights are( that would definitely take the most work to implement). I'd like to do Live Results for the Big PPV's, like how the UFC and Bellator results go live on the site, I'd like to do that with say Wilder vs Fury and fights of that size.
But anyways, that'll all take time. I'm just glad I'm getting a lot more control and the ability to make sure the coverage is at a higher standard.
I'm off for now bud, got some **** to do then I need to try grab a couple hours sleep. Talk to you later bud
