Curran who has nonexistent sub defense vs. Albu who is finally taking her second fight after being signed nearly 4 years ago. Strangely an interesting fight to me, I do like them both. Hope Curran wins because it's already surprising she wasn't cut.

Great Q&A that Sherdog did with Albu about her absence from the sport and more. She seems very articulate and well-spoken, and even has a bit of a sense of humor.

Also, little known fact that she's also apparently 6-0 in MMA rather than 2-0, as you'll see in the Q&A.

albu hasn't fought in over 2 years after not fighting for 2 years, so i'm really basing my prediction off the ring rust more than curran's skills. she certainly has the capacity to beat albu standing, but once it goes to the ground she could be in trouble. i'll take the risk and say that even though curran has been losing, she has at least been losing to decent fighters while albu did who knows what for 2 years and that should play a factor.

Albu always has 2 years between fights, it's her thing. I've pretty much given up on Curran at this point. Albu by whatever she wants.

Albu is a fine tuned athlete and technically solid wherever the fight goes.

Curran is cute as **** and has talent, just not at the level she needs to be in the UFC. She's Invicta material where good fights matter more than wins and losses.

She was recovering from an injury and also finished her degree. Now she's healthy and done studying, she says she'll fight way more often.

I understand the absence. It's hard enough for me to get in and train a lot as a college student, I can only imagine fighting in the UFC and doing it.

So far my mindset was..

1) Albu-tee by whatever she wants.
2) Then I started the see that it'll probably end with a sub in rounds 2/3.
3) Then I see it going to the judges.
4) Next I was worried about the layoff.  Switched to Curran.
5) Now I'm leaning and about 63% confident in a Curran sub. Not sure         when yet though.

Albu is far superior, my only trepidation here is the layoff. She should get it done though.

Off to Invicta with Curran to evolve.
