While I am picking Chris, using the fight with Hall as proof of Mousasi not having a good chin is stupid. Guy took a spinning back kick to the face, a flying knee afterwards and a barrage of punches, and he still didn't go out! His chin is great.

Weidman will need to keep Gegard honest by mixing in takedowns, not just box. Great fight.

I will rewatch some tapes before giving my final pick but i am going for the Moose now. Mousasi have a chin lol, as @Thesnake101 said, you can't judge a chin on that lol. I have to admit Weidman come back better than i though after his tremendous loss against Rockhold, anyway i think the Moose have the momentum right now. Gegard is so complete in every aspect of the fight game. This fight will very probably be a close one (with those true martial artists). Mousasi's jab will be a key to contain Weidman's boxing and impose his game. Very curious to see both gameplan. Awesome matchup

Weidman came back better than you thought? You expected him to do worse than getting his head caved in?

@PilloryChoke Lol you are being a troll just focusing on this last action. I am talking about his overall performance. He was doing pretty well mixing it up before that final flying knee.

If Moose gets complacent, he will lose. If he strikes early on, he wins.

Weidman has hit hard times but I believe his pressure and toughness will prevail as the fight is 3 rounds and Mousasi will likely only have sporadic moments of success followed by Weidman dominance.

Ok so i'm here to drop some knowledge on the less intelligent, less informed mma fans lol... I got moussai to win pretty easily and here's why. The most common excuse weidman fans will give is well his only two losses are too the best in the world... well lets break this down, chris weidman beat lyoto machida who now is completely irrelevent and the sport has evolved so much since than. He also beat vitor belfort who i will give him props on that because it was TRTor... but than he beat silva for the belt. None of those fighters are relevant anymore as the sport has evolved so much. He beat 2 old brazilians at the tail end of there glory days, once he faced 2 truly GOOD competitors he got destroyed, him being champion was a fluke. He showed us time and time again he cannot hang with the best in the world. Now chris is no longer the same post USADA, everything is thinking of the OLD chris Weidman on steroids and he is no longer that guy... Moussai is in his prime he is strong and he has momentum on his side, he asked for this fight, Chris is still top 10 in my eyes but he is no where near the top 5 anymore and after his 3rd straight loss it's time to realize his best days are behind him. Call him the Holly holm of the division. He's finished mark my words this isn't going to be an easy fight for moussai but it's a terrible match up for Weidman his only hope is to keep telegraphing his boring shots and try to wrestle moussai up.. he will get starched on the feet, moussai is on a absolute tear and it's his time to shine.

I doubt Mousasi will win easily. If he does, it will be a tough fight.

I am usually dead wrong when I make comments like this. But whatever. I don't think Mousasi has the speed, reflexes, or power that Yoel Romero gave Weidman such trouble with. And Weidman should be able to take Mousasi down and rough him up. Biggest concern is this is so soon after a vicious knockout, and how that might impact Weidman's confidence.

So if someone throws a knee while you have your hands on the ground and you naturally lift your hands, that it is legal?

What a cluster**** this wound up being.

The ref tells Chris that is illegal take a rest you have time.

They check a replay which isn't allowed in NY and say oops the knee was legal.

Then the doctor says well since you took the rest we told you to take you are clearly unfit to continue despite you were never dropped or even rocked by the knee. ******** ending. The NYAC gave Moussasi that win with a bow om it amd at the same time robbed him of what could have been a legit finish over Weidman who was clearly fading despite winning the first portion of the fight.

NYAC had such a bad weekend between the whole breast implants debacle, the whole towel thing at the weigh in and now this crap.
