He announce it via twitter today. He cuts a lot of weight so this seems like a good move for him health wise. Interested to see how he does at ww.

There are some good fights for him there. I'd like to see him get Saffiedine first, maybe. Would get him into the top-15 right away against an opponent he could beat. Saffiedine is a good stylistic match-up for RDA and his pressure.

I like it. He looked pretty bad in the last couple of weigh ins.

It will be interesting to see if his pressure can be maintained at the higher weight. Or will some of these guys just shake him off. Hopefully it works out for RDA. I, for one, would not bet against him being successful. I wrote him off earlier in his career after some of the L's he took. And he bounced back and became one of the best fighters on the planet through hard work.

Meh, don't think this is likely to go well for him but who knows? He was on the huge side at lightweight anyway.

Mixed feelings towards his move up a weight class however there are a few good matchups I'm interested in such as Dos Anjos vs Masvidal, Hendrix, Maia & Matt Brown. Possible Cerrone rematch aswell so who knows.

Fresh matchups out there for RDA. Albert Tumenov seems like the perfect guy to welcome him to the division and see where he stands.

He always did look pretty bad during his weight cuts, and he has a style that may serve him well at 170. I'm interested to see how it goes for him. He's also only 32, so still time for another run.

Interesting to see how many fighters start doing this. With the advent of the early weigh-ins, we're seeing unprecedented numbers of failed cuts. We're also seeing fighters move up in weight and achieving success by not draining their bodies. Fancy that.
