The ref didn't stop the fight, though pretty much any competent ref would have. He sustained a lot of unnecessary damage. The decision was shady as hell and it shows how far gone Fedor is. His prime is long past and I am worried that a larger, faster, more athletic heavyweight is going to hurt him.
This is not a popular opinion, and that's fine, but he shouldn't be fighting in 2016. 4 to 5 years ago he still would have destroyed Mitrione, but based on how he's looked and his age and wear and tear I have no faith in his ability to get the job done.

I think that Fedor will be the winner, he has more resources at his disposal at the time of combat and if he loses, it will probably be for a strong KO.
