Northcutt vs. Gall

That was disappointing. Once sage was rocked, it almost appeared as if he was looking for a way out. Mickey's choke was that out. Hopefully with his age, sage is able to come back. But it's looking as though he doesn't handle adversity in the cage well. 

Very disappointed in Northcutt. Gall's as inexperienced and one-dimensional as anyone someone fighting their 5th fight could hope to be matched up with. But Northcutt gets rocked and subbed. Whatever he's doing in camp, it's not working. Actually, I don't think he's improving at all. He might even be worse than when he debuted.

Gall is a real threat on the ground. He's held his own with Gordon Ryan, treating him like some random 3-0 fighter is ridiculous. He trains with a good gym in Tristar, and he has a mentality that's very conducive to improvement as a fighter. Sage looked better this fight. He didn't try to wrestle with a superior grappler, he stuck with what he was best at, distance striking. He bloodied Gall up and dropped him multiple times. He has a world class striking game, but not the grappling to allow him to execute it. When he learns TDD and Jiujitsu, he will go places.
