BLC 7 Draft

If we are going to start week 1 of BLC 7 to include next weeks 3 UFC events (which starts in 5 days), i think it would be a good idea to get the draft started sooner rather than later.  It looks like we have enough to do 8 teams of 5. We could stretch it to 8 teams of 7 but that would require taking a chance and dipping into the weekend comp pool.  Since time is of the essence, we need to really speed this process up.  In the past there was a fairly lenient draft clock.  I propose we put a 6 or 12 hour time limit, otherwise the draft will take too long and we risk missing next weekends 3 UFC events.  Post your draft picks, team name and logo here and @yoss will create a spreadsheet to keep track of the standings, matchup's, etc like he has in the past.

FYI, if all the guys who wanted to play are picked by the end of round 5 it'll be our last, so don't "save" picks, there may be no round 6.

we definitely have enough to do a 6th round, everyone besides Hornett and Lopati already have 5 picks. Nevermind I misunderstood.

I guess the only question left here is which one of you lucky bastards is going to get the steal of the draft by picking me in the last round?

@twspencer, you seem to be the only one fighting for that last draft pick.

If we still have 6 people left on the list, round 6 will be from the list only. This season's more about the guys who want to play than "yeah sure, I pick everything to you can have me on you team".

It may sound like a bit of a restriction to you captains, but the thing is usually by mid-season, people are way less engaged and the game just stops being fun so we're trying to switch the concept from "who's the best pickers on the site" (which is how it started) to "who wants to play a fun game" (since a huge bulk of great pickers have been pretty absent for a while anyway).

This way I think we'll get the necessary new blood to mak it worth while to keep this rolling and have more engagement.

CORRECTION:: There WILL be a round 6 and it WILL be list only (unless there are less than 6 guys left on the list and then some luck or not so lucky bastard who's go it may steal away someone who's not on the list and is awesome). So if you're saving a sleeper, get his/her name on the list before round 6 or pick him/her in round 5.
