I am a big fan of CM Punk, but I want Gall to beat him so that Punk can go back to doing pro wrestling. It's one thing to be a fan and a practitioner of the sport in your free time. It's a whole different animal when you want to do it competitively at the age Punk is doing it at.

Gall tore through his only two professional opponents quickly and much like CM Punk they had little to no pro MMA experience. There is a massive mystery to CM Punk and what will happen once he gets in the ring. To my knowledge he has no previous background in a combat sport. Picking Punk without seeing what he can do is like rolling a pair of dice and hoping it hits snake eyes.

Punk just past years training and will be favored by the judges if its close, I think he will end up with a decision (an be sideline for 3 more years du to a back injuries)

If this goes to decision Punk wins regardless. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gall straight up take a dive in this fight either. This is the only UFC fight I've ever been able to look at prior to it happening and say with confidence that the fix might indeed be in. If Gall fights the way he's shown he's capable of fighting Punk shouldn't last anywhere near one full round. A 37 year old with ZERO experience in MMA fighting a guy 13 years younger than him that's been submitting people left and right? This SHOULD be the easiest fight any of us have ever picked on this site.

Punk made a living as an actor, it's not really surprising that he won the staredowns. Gall also has much more reason to be nervous ahead of the fight. If Punk loses, it's what everyone expected. But if Gall loses, his career is over.
