The oddsmakers must really think that Elias will impose his wrestling, but I think Alvey is too seasoned to simply get ground out.

all Elias has to do is get to the decison like cote does . Alvey is slow and methodical. does not look good to the judges so unless he knocks him out (which is possible) he will lose. i like smiling sam too.

I like alvey a lot,but as a fan he can be frustrating to watch. He's had a lot of fights where he did nothing for almost all of it. He's a real gamble, and stylistically elias' pressure IMO will be a big problem,or it'll force alvey to fight, which might not be a bad thing either.

Tough fight to call but I can't see Alvey knocking out Theodorou in one round when Thiago Santos couldn't do it in three.

If he doesn't get knocked out in the first, he should be able to get the decision pretty easily

Yep. Sam said it wasn't very good lol. But, he doesn't really drink much. Just tasted it to say that he did.

Not much of a fight. Alvey looked absolutely clueless about what to do if he can't counterpunch. Even when he got angry he just angrily did nothing. Also what's up with Theodorou's wrestling? He gets Alvey's back and can't stop Alvey from running across the whole ring to the cage? Could have let him go and gone for the Njokuani-Horodecki special in that case.

Yeah, it wasn't a great fight. It could've been better, but at least it showed that Theodorou has a high fight-IQ. I bet there were some that would get frustrated and run into Sam's counter-punching and get knocked out. He did what he had to for the W, which is what he needed at this point of his career. Two losses in a row are never good for anyone.

Doing just enough to win in your fights is not enough to get noticed. You will never amount to anything in this sport doing just enough to get the W. There are over 500 fighters in the UFC and you aren't going to stand out doing half hearted sparring sessions. I don't care if you win 20 in a row if you win like that. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Sam Alvey cut because the fight was just that atrocious.

I'm a Sam Alvey fan and man it was hard to watch him fight like that, I know he doesn't have a wide skillset, but he was fighting on a tear his head off mode but without the actual punching, he looked like a terminator that never reaches his prey. it was a painfull fight to watch. Also I don't think Theodorou is going places either, it seems that he fight trying not to mess up his pretty face.
I'd say this was the worst fight of the card. And I hop Alvey doesnt get cut.
