It is a dumb idea right now @FollowTheMoney, first of all you have Cruz who hasn't been active in something like 4 years so talking about title fights is a bit crazy. Second, It's quite a stretch if he will even make it to the Dillashaw fight, let alone win. Even if he does win, Dillashaw has only fought Barao twice meanwhile guys like Aljimain Sterling and Assuncao have made contenders out of themselves and Cejudo is being groomed to fight the Mouse. I don't think a super fight between Cruz and Mighty Mouse is realistic, Cruz would have necessary title defenses to make if he did beat Dillashaw at 135.

This being said, if Mighty Mouse wrecks the winner of Formiga vs Cejudo, he could seriously consider moving up. Not much left for him besides maybe Ray Borg or something which isn't even interesting.

Prediction: correct Cruz   correct Decision

I can see why people want Cruz to take another fight before he gets the shot to show he can stay healthy. I guess the UFC figures he's the uncrowned champ and still the rightful champ so they want him to regain the belt or move on with TJ, honestly they might just want TJ to win at this point. I think this makes sense but I would have liked TJ vs Assuncao II as well. Maybe Cruz could have fought Faber again for the next shot at bantamweight instead of that stupid Saenz vs Faber fight.

Prediction: correct Cruz   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 1

Dominick Cruz just wrecked TJ Dillashaw:

"[Talking about how Dillashaw compared Cruz to Conor McGregor] That's how he sees it, because he can't talk," Cruz told MMA Fighting. "He's a meathead, and that has nothing to do with me. Don't try to compare me to other people because you're too silly to talk and say what you feel. This is what it comes down to: I can say what I'm going to say because I've had four years of practice in front of the cameras. I'm more comfortable. That's the truth.

"I've had three or four years to have everything taken from me. When you have everything taken from you, you have nothing to fear. I was a champion at the pinnacle. I had the division cleared (out). I believed in myself and I think everybody here would agree that I earned that position to be called champion. Then it got taken away mysteriously out of nowhere because I was injured. When you lose something like that, it gives you a clarity of how much you really don't own anything. It gives you a clarity of life, of how much of a privilege it is to actually be here in front of your guys.

"I enjoy talking crap now to T.J., because he gets so mad," Cruz continued. "Like, what do you expect me to do? Give you a high-five and bow to you? We're fighting, man. What are you going to do, fight me more? Are you going to fight me harder because I'm talking mean now? Is that hurting your feelings, so you're going to fight me harder? Come on, man. It's not uncharacteristic. This was always me. The difference is I'm more comfortable with letting it out now, because I have nothing to lose and I have nothing to fear."

Man, I can't wait for this fight. Cruz is the GOAT.

I'm dropping 200 total on this fight, Lawler/Condit, Poirier/Duffy going to a draw.  I'm almost positive one of these fights will endo up a draw.

The only thing that has me worried is how Alers/Miller fight went to a draw.

I think we all Made a prediction on this fight based on how Cruz looked 4 years ago .. Or how he looked in the 30 seconds against Mizugaki . I like Cruz for the win. But It's a dangerous game were playing

Really tough one to call when Cruz is on top of his game he is a monster. How quickly he destroyed Mizugaki was proof of that.

@Soccerkick, first of all TJ is a snake in the grass. Secondly, IF he does win champions rarely ever go down in weight to fight for another belt. Thirdly, while I think his chances at 135 vs DJ are good, I think sucking that extra bit of 10lbs off would make a quite relevant difference as he's already carrying no body fat and cutting some water weight. Fourthly there's already talk of DJ coming up to fight him and if he does win, a fight with Uriah Faber is a bigger fight than vs DJ anyways.

Think before you post.

TJ can make 125 easier than he could compete with some of those monsters at 145...I do agree with you however that a fight with Faber is a much bigger fight and puts a lot more money in TJs pocket so fine after that fight he should go get that 2nd title at 125!

Rooting for Cruz but I think Dillashaw throws the more effective strikes.
