Cage Warriors was easily one of my favorites,I miss the Saturday afternoons it was on.Great quality events,production,half of the cards didn't fall apart,just so many great things about that org.I wonder now though...what happened to all the contracts.I'm sure it won't be the same for atleast quite a while till they get some good guys back.So many of their great fighters are elsewhere now but Graham Boylan did do amazing things with Cage Warriors when he started running it in 2010 or whenever.Way better cards,more cards,went international all the time,i'm sure it'll be good again just a little light to start.

im guessing he hasnt bought out any contracts as such as he keeps talking about buying ip rather than assets and infrastructure- which makes him then talking about rebranding quite strange, if all youve got is a name and a logo and the googwill that goes with it why would you then change them right off the bat rather than having just started a fresh without the ip... i hope it goes well for them and im intrigued to see what he does with it

Sounds like Graham bought the whole company?
Great news, I hope they can bounce back, some of their stars have already moved on.
There was also mention of a name change. Any suggestions?

i hadnt actually read the link, just presumed it was the one i saw yesterday- in the one i read he never uses the word company but talks about buying the brand and/or inteletual property about 4 times.

Good. Can't wait to see Cage Warriors make a comeback. Hope they sign some of the big name British MMA prospects that are out there.

Awesome news. Cage Warriors left a void in the UK MMA scene that BAMMA has not been able to fill effectively.

They will have to create new champions now all the champs have left. Put Danny Roberts in for a vacant title fight in Liverpool ,would make a lot of sense.

@Cheese Not all their champions. Technically, Cage Warriors still have contract rights with Middleweight champion Jack Hermansson and Featherweight champion Alex Enlund.

I think Alex Enlund is one of the few guys that was champ that is yet to fight elsewhere or be signed up by another promotion.
Also is Toni Tauru exclusive to One FC now or is he just using his one free fight that all cage warrior contracted fighters got during their hiatus?

Oops, forgot about Jack Hermansson too - don't think he is signed over to WFS on an exclusive deal either.

@Ronwah
Toni Tauru has signed 6-fight deal with ONE. He said to his manager that his next fight is either @UFC or @ONE and one week later he had 6-fight deal with ONE.

I wonder if Pannie Kainzad is exclusive to Invicta now?

Invicta contracts aren't exclusive. Joanne Calderwood fought for Cage Warriors while under contract with Invicta.
