Pettis making the long-awaited drop back to 125. We'll see how he deals with the speed down there.

Pettis was excellent at 125 lbs. before moving back up to 135 lbs. when he signed with the UFC.

Benoit is a very talented fighter, but Sergio is legit and should be able to beat Benoit.

This fight will be entertaining, Benoit swings for the fences and Sergio has a suspect chin.

Suspect chin??? Sheesh man, where do you come up with these things??? Which one of all the times he's been KOd makes you suspect his chin ... oh wait.

Just 'cause a dude's been dropped a couple times against bigger opponents doesn't make his chin suspect ... in fact you could argue that the fact he has been touched on the button but didn't go out show that he's got a good chin ... even if it doesn't speak volumes for his defense, his chin has held up pretty good so far. ****, he's been KOd less times than Roy Nelson.

Is this just going to become a common route for the UFC when it comes to prospects? The McGregor treatment? Sergio lost to Bruce Leeroy and they were like "Whoaaa, too much, too soon. We need to throw this guy half a dozen fighters from Legacy and then we give him the title shot."

@yoss uhh, you don't have to get knocked out yet to have a suspect chin. Thus the word, suspect. There have been plenty of fighters who hadn't been KO'd yet that had suspect chins.

Did you seriously compare Roy's chin to Sergio Pettis'

Cmon man. That just proves my point that you don't have to have been stopped yet to have a suspect chin, over the life of a fighter chances are they will at get stopped at least once, especially at heavyweight. And Sergio has shown a tendency to get rocked, so his chin is suspect. Roy's is not, the end.

No, I wasn't seriously comparing his chin to Roy Nelson's, it was a joke to put a little twist on my whole rant about his chin.

And I still maintain that getting rocked says you have holes in your defense not that you have a suspect chin. Every fighter on the planet, Mark Hunt, Roy Nelson, Anderson Silva (all notorious for having great chins) will get rocked if you clock them on the button. What says if you've got a good chin or not is how you recover. So far Sergio's shown that he survives even when he gets clocked. Ergo, good chin (or at least not suspect).

I think if we see a knockout in this fight, it will be from Benoit. Not saying I think it happens, but I do think he has more power. And yes, I agree. Pettis getting rocked wasn't a suspect chin, it was holes in his defense, and a guy like Benoit could exploit that.

I'll probably go with a Pettis win via Decision come fight time, but it's closer than people are making it out to be! Good fight.

And some get rocked and dropped and KO'd more than others, thus the term suspect.

He has big shoes to fill due to his older brother but I don't see him doing as well.

I think Benoit will give him a run for his money. 97% of tapology on Pettis, I hope it pushes up the line so I can get some good money on Benoit.

I still think this could be a dangerous fight for Sergio.
Also, what a brilliant ad hominem by Anik.
