With all these injuries lately do you think it is due to the new accident insurance the UFC has introduced. The fighters now have the choice of not risking a paycheck and can fight at 100% if they choose??..

Na I really dont think this is to blame.. Most of them still want to fight there just not allowed.. Like Davis he really wanted to take the fight injured but Dana wouldnt let him..

They are missing out on more money if they don't fight.  Sure, they can get their injuries corrected, but that doesn't bring home the check... especially these main/co-main event fighters that have had "injuries".

I don't think so. Every year that I can remember there are a few events that get plagued with injuries.

Yeah... and its getting worse w/ the competition level increasing... fighters are training harder and harder... and getting hurt doesn't help them bring home income.. so I don't think any insurance is to blame here.

With the new insurance, their fight money is covered, but not their sponsorship money, right?  Anyone know?

I didn't think any of that was covered unless it happened during a fight, not during training.  I may be wrong on that though.

before the accident insurance was introduced fighter would have had to pay for their own medical bills, so fighter may have still taken the fight to get their paycheck. Now they know that the UFC will pay their bills, so they technically lose no money if their fight gets moved an event or two forward.

Only people that lose out are the fans who buy tickets to see their favorite fighters.
