Danno yes perhaps we'll officially list some more categories soon.
However, you can make your own category in the meantime.
Put 1000 at the end of the web address instead of 500, and tada!

I think if you pick every single card and can stay above 60% you are pretty damn good.

Sometimes I think about just picking certain fights on cards that I'm pretty sure I'll get right, but then I'm like what the hell and I just go ahead and pick them all.

The cherry pickers are going to be approaching 500 soon..."

Yeah I agree, that's pretty lame to do. I agree, they should make a >1000 category, I shouldn't be ahead of you for having a higher percentage despite having picked almost 200 less fights, then there are guys who will cherry pick there way to 500 by the time you and I are above 1000.

I'll hit 1000 picks the weekend after next. I started off only picking UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator main cards until I hit a terrible run on UFC and said eff it, started picking them all and have seen my % go up since!

I just did what @Gregory said in the first post on this page and entered the number of picks I have made at the end of the URL (you actually need to subtract one from your total). There are 37 members who have made more picks than me. Only five have a higher pick %. I was very surprised.

I've been thinking recently about starting another profile, but only using it to cherry pick fights and see how my % does...I've been pretty much at 60% picking every card and every fight

that problem could be solved when they come out with the ufc/bellator % and your smaller/regional event %

I'll admit it, i am a cherry picker, but i don't feel it's worth wasting my percentage smaller shows in which i have no clue who the fighter is....

This might not be official, but I predicted that both Kenny Florian and BJ Penn should not be taken too seriously when they hinted about retirements. They were simply in post-loss depressions. Just for the record. And I was right on both counts.

Everyone has different definitions of cherry pickers. Some people will pick every fight, and I'll look like a cherry picker because I'm not going to pick between two 0-0 guys from unknown gyms...that's just a coin toss. I'll pick every Bellator (maybe leave off a few prelims), UFC and Strikeforce fight, so I see someone who just picks main cards as a cherry picker.
I do also pick from smaller shows as well, but like I said, when it's two unknowns and I can't find any videos or anything, I don't want to just pick one at random.

If you choose to cherry pick big deal you should have a higher pick percentage but your belt progression will be very slow, id rather have a black belt then a 70 percent pick rate. If you only pick ufc events and run at 80 percent noone on these forums would be fooled so your only tricking urself.

Why the hate on people who don't pick every card? If I don't know the fighters, and can't watch the event, I don't care about the event. I pick the UFC, Strikeforce, and Bellator events since they're the only ones I follow closely.
