I hate that people are trying to make it out that Weidman luck out in this fight by what Anderson Silva did. This is not the first time we have seen Anderson Silva do this for example the Forrest Griffin fight and Demian Maia fight. He got caught what can you do it happens to the best of us. Weidman was clearly the better fight and deserve to win.

Anderson's still the GOAT (for now) but Weidman's not only the new, still undefeated, champ but he also has still finished every UFC opponent he's had a full training camp for so if you're ranking fighters, who has a better win than a KO over Anderson?

the whole thing is suspect to me. everyone picking weidman to win on ultimate insider, the ufc trying to hype him up. anderson's post fight speech. my friend was over watching the fights and he never watches mma, he thought it was a set up. i'm not saying it was a set up but the whole thing was just weird.

I know I don't post on here very much anymore, but seeing Chris Weidman knock out Silva is just too much.

I knew this guy was special, taking fights on 2 weeks notice and still throwing down and finishing guys. I knew he had it in him.

I'm sure he'll have some fights where he does have a full training camp and doesn't finish the guy (or loses). Keep in mind he only has 10 fights which is a small sample size.

One thing is for sure. Weidman has a bright future ahead of him.

Even if Weidman loses every fight from now on, he will still be remembered as the guy who beat Anderson Silva. I mean, beating The Spider by knockout is probably the most you can accomplish in a single fight, and Chris has earned perpetual bragging rights because of that.
