If we look at the three fights as separate picks, with a wrong pick eliminating someone, then the Hioki-Elkins fight could be the deciding fight. If Hioki wins, I'm eliminated and Mike 187 is the last survivor; and if Elkins wins, Mike187 is eliminated and I'm the final survivor. I'd be OK with this if you and Mike187 agree. (and of course if Hioki-Elkins gets scratched due to injury or whatever, or ends in a draw or no contest, then the McGee-Whitaker fight would be the deciding factor, since we both picked Perez in the other fight).
Otherwise, as you noted, us splitting on the two fights under the previous guidelines would result in a tie and push us into another event.

Ya I think it's better with just one fight for the finals. The adding more fights was a good idea to make it finish faster when there was more people left but now it could actually make it drag on longer.
So whoever wins Hioki/Elkins fight is cool with me, and the Whittaker/McGee fight if there's a draw and we need it.
