Wow. Khabib rag-dolled Abel He made a believer out of me. When he asked for Nate Diaz earlier, I waved him off dismissively. But now I think he deserves Nate.

Hope people dn't just dismiss this win by saying the typical

'He beat Trujillo.'

When trying to argue that Khabib would not do this good against legit opposition. Is Abel Trujillo a top 10. No, no where close. But Nurmagomedov absolutely rag-dolled a dude who has LEGIT wrestling credentials. This fight is a big deal. Great performance by Khabib. 21 TDs? Ridiculous.

I never understood what the word Sambo meant. If this was it, I'm a believer. Fedor was a sambo fighter.

I once heard a funny comment. It went something like, 'If Sambo was easy, it would be called jiu jitsu.'

If you want to give Khabib a slow boat to the way up, give him Conor McGregor. That should be a war of hyper-aggressive newcomers.

If Nate doesn't move to WW, give him Nate.

McGregor is a featherweight, and even if he was a lightweight, the UFC would not have any interest in putting him against Khabib. Khabib would do the same thing to him that he did to Trujillo and it would extinguish all the excitement for their potential Irish star. They'll match McGregor up against guys who he can beat.

McGregor has announced he doesn't feel confined to 135 or 145. He said he feels competitive at 135 to 155.

Which is one of the reasons he's so exciting. His mind is open. I agree he would probably lose to Nurmagomedov. McGregor started as a kick-boxer, while Nurmagomedov started as a Sambo guy, which is a grappling style.

But it might be exciting to watch anyway. Why write off McGregor so dismissively? Let's find out the old-fashioned way.
