Jm, i hope you are just playing devils advocate. Ali in his prime would lose an mma match to any ufc after heavy. Its a totally different skill set. The best boxers in mma get dominated by wrestlers. Several professional boxers try mma including Sakara and Noons. None get close to the top. Your only as strong as your weekest technique. Your arguement is foolish at best.

Boxers are also NOTORIOUS for padding their records fighting bums! There are exactly ZERO boxers with respectable records because they'd never get their careers off the ground if they fought guys that had ANY chance to win.

Boxers are frauds, who only have MAYBE ten respectaable match ups their whole careers! And those are the legends!

The Klitscho brothers would mop the floor with him. Tyson barely got by Chisora.

The only reason he's calling out Cain is because it's promotion and, if it actually happened, a decent paycheck.

One of the greatest boxers of all time (if not the best) lost to a pro wrestler. Ali got beat by Inoki who had severe limitations placed on him because Ali was scared. So great boxer doesnt equate to great MMA fighter

Kimbo Slice is 6 - 0 with 5 knockouts in his boxing career. Hell, give him Cain.

Toney talked his way into the UFC. Maybe Fury is trying that route. However, Dana probably learned his lesson not to sign boxers to the UFC with no previous MMA fights

Sakara and Noons started off just fine in their MMA career. Noons more than Sakara.

Costa Philippou started as a boxer. hes 5-1 in the UFC

im not saying Fury would beat Cain

but im certainly not one of those people that believe the baddest man on the planet ********.

Ok jm I'll try this one more time. Noons, lost his 2nd fight to buddy Clinton, Got KOed in his 6th fight by Charles Bennett. When he finally got to mid level talent he went 2 and 3 after 5 years of MMA training. Sakara lost his4th and 5th fights to Simon Holmes and Roman Zentzov. Your argument is ridiculous. Boxers rely too much on their hands. Their stances don't transition well into MMA. Also at 6 ft 9 his center of gravity would make it very easy to take him down. Could he beat any UFC heavyweights, maybe a small percentage of the time. Would he have a chance in he'll against Velasquez, which you are arguing? Helll no.

I say give him  Daniel Cormier,  lets see his "mma" training against an Olympic wrestler.  The fact that he thinks his height and long legs make him have better TDD is the funniest **** I've heard so far this year.  I do believe he probley has decent kicks, but that would get his ass taken down easier.  For **** sakes give him coutour, he's almost 50 and he'd stil mop the floor with this joke.  All in all I want him to fight Cormier before he fights Cain, but he'd never get past Cormier anyway.

I hope he does get a fight in UFC because I enjoyed Toney getting beat down and I think I would enjoy this guy getting beat down as well

@the biggest joke of a poster on the Tapology forums, JM Barrie:

MMA fighters have just started to "wise up" and pad their records with any degree of consistency the last few years. Anyone who is anyone has taken a Shannon Ritch match here and there, but that is actually more of a confidence booster after a loss, than just a BS way to get a W on their records.

Look at Randy Couture and BJ Penn, two of the biggest icons of the sport, do those guys pad their records? Only time they fought bums was when no one knew how good they were, and to be honest, I don't think BJ has fought a single record padding bum. That guy could fight at LW right now and mop guys up but he still fights for greater challenges. You ever heard of a boxer moving UP four weight classes to test himself?

I am not saying boxing is 100% devoid of "real men" or anything, but they are frauds for sure. Anyone who has ever watched a bunch of four rounders can tell you there is more mismatching going on there than at a Anna Nicole Smith wedding (may she rest is gold digging pieces).

And, oh yeah, Costa has TDD, whereas I seriously suspect Fury has less than my nine year old daughter.

I don't know to much about boxing,But I'm positive I could name a few boxers who moved up 4 weight classes.

I agree with the rest of what you had to say though @Judo.

Almost every big name boxer has at least 20 no names on their record.

It is true that boxers move up weight classes for a shot at a different belt, but weight classes in boxing are every 0.2 lbs so it is slightly less impressive.

Roy Jones Jr fought at 5 different classes according to Wiki.

Varying from 160 to 200 to no limit.
